I got Sissy's lowest APMS today. I had been trying to get on the board for about an hour with a different question but it just kept timing out and couldn't get on.
Then got Sissy's 149 and wasn't sure what to do, I had printed off all the stickies so I could have them and read what to do with a lower than normal number....I decided to go ahead and shoot but now I'm really nervous she will go too low at her +2 or +3....I think I should have waited. Can you guys look at her sheet?

Good morning. Please get a +1 and +2. I will check back. How long ago did you shoot? Keep your title updated. I think she’s gone lower at night. I would have gotten another test last night. This is a safe number to shoot provided you have plenty of test strips, high carb food and karo or honey if needed. That’s what we would have asked you. I couldn’t get on tge board either. As long as you would answer yes to my questions and can monas long as needed today I’m glad you did shoot.

I shot her at 10 am here which was 45 minutes ago. I do have plenty of strips, food and karo and I can monitor all day if needed.
I knew I should have tested again last night. :/

It’s okay. Next time you get a lower than usual amps or PMPS, stall, DON’T feed, and test again to see if it’s gone up at all or at least not gotten lower. Then if you can’t get online or nobody responds ask yourself the questions I asked. If the answers are yes and the preshot is around 150, shoot.

Her +1 is 124.

Ugh, she did go lower last night. I had taken one more reading before I went to bed, but I didn't put it in the sheet and I remember thinking...oh, it's higher...and now that I looked at it, it wasn't it was lower than pmps and the previous number. :(

This is good! It looks like an active cycle. Get a +2. Will she eat a teaspoon or two of lc? You want to keep her hungry so not too much.

She ate a little and a couple of her little freeze dried rabbit treats just for letting me poke her again so soon. lol

So an active cycle is good?

Yes. The insulin is working. It means you might need to test a lot. Green is like gold. Normal bg numbers are around 50-100, although I think 50-120.

+4 is 96. so that's good since she's still going down but not dropping fast right?
She's been in the 60s and 70s in the afternoons the last few days...maybe she'll even out around there.

I decided to check Sissy one more time before I have to leave for the evening. She's 182 so still climbing. I'm glad.

This may be a dumb question but do they make auto feeders that close too or just open? I leave food down for her but not sure she will finish it by 2 hrs before shot time amd we won't be back. Just wonder how people handle that kind of thing.

I never used one because Max was deaf by the time I could have used one. What you do is set it to go ff at times with food and other times put no food in so it rotates. I think anyway.

Not really, it was within meter variance an hour apart. I think you were fine to sleep.

Today was a really nice cycle, fairly flat for the most part. :)

What people do with autofeeder that rotate, is have it rotate to an empty one when they want the cat to no longer have access to food, so set it to rotate at +10 overnight to an empty section.

I didn't even think about a rotating feeder. I assumed the tops popped open and stayed open like the one I have. It's a 2 sided one and once it pops open it's done. It has ice packs under it. I'll have to look into that.

Thanks!
