Champ went below 50 again last night, the little bugger, and I decided to go ahead and give him a full reduction this morning. I studied his SS and found that he has only had three days without MC or HC since June 29 in order to bring his numbers up. If his numbers start to show signs of declining, I won't waste any time increasing back up, but I want to try to get him at a dose where he stays steady on his own, with no help from the MC or HC foods.
I actually didn't have to get up until 6:30 this morning so I should have been able to get an extra two hours of sleep. Unfortunately, Champ did not read the memo!!! Because I went to bed last night when his BG was still low (I left out a bowl of HC food...shame on me...I usually stay up testing but i was TIRED, thankyouverymuch), when he was insistent that I get up at 5:30, I figured I better check his BG and it was a nice 122 so I put some tuna flakes in his bowl so he'd think he actually got food, and went back to bed. Unfortunately, I couldn't go back to sleep. Pooh!! I finally got up, made a nice pot of coffee
(I grind the beans fresh every morning) and proceeded with the test feed shoot. He's his usual sweet kitty self this morning. Right now, he's curled up in his basket, looking out my office window, dreaming of catching the birdies that fly by!!
Now, time for me to get to work!!! I do believe I'll stay in my pj's for a bit longer while I work!!
Have a great day everyone!!!
