Yesterday caber 302 new bottle

Last night she got a wee bit frisky. Was rolling and chirping, reaching for anything nearby but when I rolled a ball to her she couldn't be bothered.

I discovered a big bee hive on our garden hose reel that hangs from the deck. Got to figure out how to remove it. I don't have spray for that, so have to get some.

BIL and wife coming today so got to start picking up some.

My neighbor is getting into bee keeping so I sent him a message. I googled this and it's a wasp hive. One of those paper looking balls usually hanging from tree. We had one of those under the deck many years ago.

Husband said to leave it alone and it will freeze killing the wasps over the winter. Its to close to the door and you can't go on that part of deck because of them. My bird bath and deck flowers are there.
 
Good grief that is huge. Hire a professional!

Be very careful.

My dad would wait till dark (less active) and then splash gasoline on the nest and light them on fire :rolleyes:. Of course water hose was always standing by.

We lived on a farm so did a lot of diy stuff. The stories I could tell :joyful:

Yep, they'll be dead and dying soon when fall temps arrive. Doesn't take much to make them sluggish either. Cool mornings.... 50s seems to make them slow- that's what went on with a swarm I had a couple years ago. I loved having them in the yard for the few days they were present.

Early for PMPS isn't it? Perhaps you meant something else? :smuggrin:
That beehive is something else; let the professionals take care of it for you! DH just discovered a really large nest of worms in one of our trees, he took the hose to it.

Thanks, I fixed it. Yuck worms, don't know what's worse. Thought of dragging the hose out but that won't kill them.
 
Family just left. They loved Ollie and she showed off her belly for them. Others of course hid the entire time.

I got an ice cream pie at the convenience store yesterday. It looked great all 3 flavors but didn't say anything else about it on label.

So we have it and OMG. The "crust" is chopped walnuts then layer of bananas covered with chocolate syrup, then vanilla, strawberry, chocolate ice cream, topped with whip cream, scoop of each flavor of ice cream on top with cherries and nuts.

Neighbor came over and scraped some of the hive off the reel. Also nearby is a ground nest. Saw some going in and out of the hole.

And the bull is back.
