Yesterday was boringly yellow again. Looks like she's PM nadiring at +12/AMPS right now and dipped into green this morning. Curiously (to me) she was drinking frequently yesterday which is unusual for her especially since her BG wasn't that high.

There are some differences for IAA. If a dose isn't getting you green, don't hold it overly long. IAA kitties seem to do better with as much green as you can safely do. You may have to experiment with reductions. Not sure if you are doing the once under 40 or three times between 40 and 49 method? Once the antibodies break, then you do have to become more cautious with reductions, as they can come fast and furious.

Now I'm re-reading this once again...can you explain what you mean by experimenting with reductions? I think all my reductions so far have been due to a sudden drop below 40. Also some clarification about being 'cautious with reductions'?

thank you!

Usually if not holding reductions people decrease after 3 times in the 40’s even if not long term. If under 40 even once you reduce. Looks like her decreases have been from being under 40 which you just said. If she starts to earn rapid reductions because she’s broken through the resistance you would reduce even if in the 40’s once is my understanding.

Got it! Thank you :)

Elise had it right. If the reductions come fast and furious, she'll likely be holding reductions. If you are slow to reduce, you could get caught with an overfull depot and fighting low numbers. Especially painful with a large depot. Been there, done that.

I wonder if that's what happened earlier this month, Aug 8 decreased from 3.75u when she hit 33 then 5 cycles later decreased again when she hit 22, though that reduction didn't stick and we've been increasing slowly since then. I've seen Oberon's shenanigans too so I will be on the lookout. She's liking this 4u today though.

Oh so glad it's just IAA and not acro! I'd been looking for a Minnie update but for some reason couldn't find it.

I keep.hiping Oberon will get in line, but he's playing the long game  hopefully Minnie is nice to you!

I've been a bit sporadic with the updates this week. She was stuck in yellow for a long time, didn't even really justify the effort of posting! She suddenly kicked into action today. I'm definitely relieved about the acro being negative and at least the IAA diagnosis explains the shenanigans earlier in the month.

And I'd been looking for a Mr Kitty update (and I'm sure not the only one) - just checked your s/s but looks like not much action at least on the diabetes front, thank goodness. And you discontinued the Rutin, hopefully all positive signs!!
