AMPS 322. I realized he’s lost one whole pound in the last 3 days. Since the day I switched him to Nulo from fancy feast, but even before he was on insulin, he never lost weight this fast. I have no idea what’s going on. He went from a couple days ago 13.4 to this morning 12.4 :/ he’s never ever been that skinny. I don’t know what could be causing this

I’m pretty sure yeah, I’ve been using the same scale for him since he got diagnosed. I’m on the phone with the vet right now and they told me to take him off fancy feast and to get him on a food that’s good for GI issues or sensitive stomach? Idk lol I was just talking to an assistant so they are gonna have the actual vet doctor call me later to discuss more stuff
 
How many total calories per day is he getting with the new food vs. the old FF? The best food for a cat is one that he'll eat and keep him steady in weight.

I think hes getting about 100 calories less with this new food that he was getting with FF, i think he was getting a little over 400 calories with FF, but with new food it was in the range of 100 less. I ended up going on my lunch to my local PetSmart and got him the brand Instinct pate, the chicken version, I meant to get Blue Wilderness Pate but I was in suchhh a rush that my mind for whatever reason thought about Instinct. I just checked and the Instinct brand has 6 carbs, per can -_- and I would need to give him at least 2 cans a day

I went out and bought the Blue Wilderness chicken pate 5.5 oz cans. I’m going to give him two a day which should match or be greater than the calories he was getting with FF. It’s just so hard to think that dropping 100 or less calories in a diet would make him lose 1 pound on only 3 days. Worries me that something else is going on :/
