DH and Tuscany enjoyed another setting sun sitting in the grass tonight. Tuscany continues to eat good (she had her steak last pm and tuna today - as well as her daily whipped cream)

I realized that it is 2 years ago today that I started home testing and that I took her off the dry food. Her sugars did come down and we did not start insulin until the March after that. I was a "lurker" back then - used the site to learn about home testing and Janet and Binkey's food chart. I wish I knew then what I know know - I probably would have done insulin earlier - she may have had a shot at going otj back then. Oh well, live and learn.

I still can't believe that she only has 5 more nights with us.....

Hi Joyce, Make the most of those precious 5 nights with your beautiful kitty. And have no regrets about how you dealt with FD. You did the best you could and learned as you went along (like all of us have). Tuscany lives in your heart now, and she will always dwell there. She is one lucky kitty to have such great beans! Hope she is enjoying some whipped cream right now!!

I'm really happy to hear that she seems to feel good and that you are making every day count. It has to be comforting to know that she isn't suffering.

FIrst green I've seen in last month - course not being real strict with diet these days. Just topped her up with some whip and steak. She had the audacity to growl and grump at me when I took her off the counter. Tried to have her sit on couch with me - just got more grumping from her. Sigh. I just wanted to cuddle but it has never been her nature to cuddle and the grump isn't new.
