Hit Nadir & Cruised Blue Yesterday

Good Morning everybody!

I think this is only the fourth time I've recorded an AMPS in the blue. Go Rufus! Going to shoot and keep an eye on him throughout the day - pattern depends on how he's holding at +1. Here's hoping we stay there today!

WCR: VERY vocal. Had salmon for breakfast and approved wholeheartedly. Purred during testing and played last night - OH! Last night he ate a fly. :shock: He hasn't done anything more than SWAT at a bug since he was a kitten. Better yet - it was still alive on the way down; suddenly he just started flailing and licking at his abdomen. :lol: Boy ought to know to chew his fuds before he swallows!

Now: ~O)

I hope all y'all are in for as good a day as Rufus and I are starting out with. :razz:

Wow! Great AMPS! I hope Rufus can surf the day away on a pretty blue wave. Too funny on the fly. It's been ages since any of mine have done that. Have a great day today!
 
Rufus' AMPS Yay! went away pretty swiftly. He went like this:

AMPS: 184
+1: 209
+7: 215
+11: 323
PMPS: 344

When I checked at +1 I was OK with it - 209 could reflect the start of a food spike, right? But when I took a look at +7, which seems to be his favorite place to hit nadir, and saw 215... well, I was unimpressed, but I thought maybe he was just going to surf the low 200's. I could have checked to see, but he was being social and sweet so I figured he was feeling OK... then I saw +11. POOH! Rufus, what are your completely involuntary functions thinking? It was supposed to be a good day. The only thing I saw that could have contributed to any kind of rise was the little drop that escaped the syringe when I gave his AMshot. But, on second thought, maybe it's just "one of those days".

I'll stick with the .75 for the time being; I think the past two days warrant a prolonged trial of the .75, ya know? I don't want to drag something out if it's not good for him, but I'm concerned about the 1.00u being too much with those mostly-blue days (once I finally started shooting right).

Preening, Purring, Pottying (ooh, a too-fer!): Check. He didn't play much today, but it's like Mick says, you can't always get what you want. :roll:

yes, a +1 can have a food effect in the number.

Sorry he went south again, lol, he'll get there.

Oh, he'll get there all right. Even if I have to pull him along by the tail!... Ok, maybe not that way. :lol:

We did have a good day. Lots of treats and cuddles (...mostly because of the treats). Managed to talk Mom into the possibility of adopting a couple of kittens in the near future. (With a 15-year-old dog, I'm starting to anticipate the absence of her clickity-clackity claws on the floor, and barking at nothing [she's nearly blind, lol], and NOISE. I think most would agree that the answer to that is clearly "Kittens".) So, all in all, a good day. I hope you (and everyone else) had a good one, too. :razz:

Edit: And oh yes, blue is his current favorite color. (The color of his Confirm meter, the bag of cotton balls, Tess (the Testing Chair), etc.) He looks good in blue. :lol:
 
good plan, get somebody else to adopt kittens so you can play with them, but they destroy somebody else's house. :lol:

Now Rufus, come back to blue...
