Ugh I slept through my alarm to feed Moonie at 230am and I’m annoyed with myself. I wish I’d been able to feed her to flatten her out last night. When she drops like this, we always see a bounce
She was nauseous last night (which improved a lot with ondansetron), so we’ll continue giving her 4mg every 8 hours today as a precaution.
She ate her breakfast normally this morning, which is a great sign. But I also found some softer than usual stools in the litter box this morning that smelled horrible. We’ll ramp the s bouilardi back up today.
This just all makes me anxious just a couple days before our trip. It makes me wonder - if she feels this way Sunday, what will I do? She seems mostly fine right now, but what if she gets worse? I’m always so worried about her IBD / pancreatitis flare-ups.
Honestly if it were just the two of us or a trip with my family, I’d have already canceled. I’m trying not to think about it until or unless I have to. It is making me irrationally angry though, because I feel like this trip is getting to be a huge concession where I’m prioritizing his happiness at Moonie’s expense. That’s probably not the right way to think about it, but it’s not really a “vacation” if I’m trying to act normal and happy with his family while worrying about Moonie is eating away at me.
For now I’ll reassess this evening and try not to think about it until then.
