Yesterday's Condo
Morning - Yesterday, Lanky's oldest brother, Otis, passed away. He was almost 19 years old. Dad & I buried him this morning and said our farewells. Lanky came by and truly had the saddest look on his face. Two things that Otis always did that I especially loved are:
1) Meow by smacking his lips but not not make any meow sounds, just smack, smack, smack. It meant he was very happy.
2) When Dad or I would be sitting on the couch, Otis would come lay on the armrest putting one of his paws on your shoulder. It was like making contact makes everything better.
So sad we are and so happy to have had Otis in our lives.
You'll note Lanky's BGs went whack-o yesterday. I could not believe the 103 at +2.5. That really scared me with so much of the cycle to go. So out came the HC food all of which Lanky ate so I could take care of Otis. I am curious to see what today's cycle brings. Needless to say, we are just taking it easy for the rest of the day.
Hug all of your kitties for us today too!
