looks like that increase was due, in fact ! will see if it does the trick, of course much easier for me to draw up the right dose .. though discouraging because I wanted to go the other way

will monitor carefully to make sure he stays safe, his pancreas sometimes decides to work better -- may use some food slightly higher in carbs (5% instead of 2-3) to see if it balances out better; will check the food list to see which, if any, of the Friskies pates fit in that category -- already know the turkey/giblets acts more like MC than LC -- got the salmon variety at the food bank this week and he LOVES the taste

Tractor Supply has Friskies on special, will check Chewy and Amazon to see if they can beat the price

reasonable preshot this evening, I'm going to experiment with feeding different LC flavors of Friskies for the night cycles, with the dose increase

he gets liver and chicken tonight (5% carb), a bigger meal than usual because I slept through his planned afternoon snack of 4Health turkey&giblets, so his bowl is brimming

WAS brimming I should say, he ate it all with gusto but not gulps (plenty of water mixed in) and is searching for any random drops to lick up

caught him the other day using his paw to scrape bits out of a can -- had not seen him using that technique before -- though our black cats, Cricket and Chris, were masters at it --

brings up a memory, went out into the garage to get something out of a box, looked up, there was a big rat up on the rafter, Chris was facing it on the same rafter, rat rushed at Chris, Chris clouted him with claws and paw, rat fell dead on the concrete floor (Chris came down to make sure) -- he wound up as the stud cat at my aunt and uncle's dairy ranch (they raised potatoes and most of their feed too) -- everyone in their area was wanting one of the super-rat-catching kittens he sired
 
bedtime test is 203 -- well, it's ALMOST blue ... :cool::cool: (;)) -- Catcat is batting cleanup .. making sure all the bases are clean ...

oh yes he does like that liver -- almost went crazy earlier this week when I was eating braunschweiger and wouldn't share .... (has sugar in it)

essentially a lazy day today, got the Friskies, straightened up a few things (which nobody else will noticeDH and reminded him to clean the wax out of his ears (he claims his hearing aid isn't working, then ... lo and behold, once several chunks of wax come out, he can hear again)

time to rest and relax, Catcat is a stuffed cat, just exercised the scratch post, out to see what's running around in the early dark, then he'll come sleep most of the night with us
