Thanks for stopping in to encourage Zener out of the pinks! Poor guy is just not listening to us! Not feeling at his best today, and appetite is poor along with higher numbers.

We don't typically feed Zener later in his cycle, but his appetite was so poor today and he was asking for something at +11, so we gave him 2t. 8% carbs. He doesn't seem to be terribly carb sensitive, and is having trouble with weight loss, so if he is hungry we wanted to feed him a little bit.

Tonight will be the last 12 hours of a possible 72 hour bounce, or perhaps a failed dose reduction. We just aren't sure by looking at his data yet. The last time he had a big bounce we thought it was going to be dose increase time and in the 6th cycle of the bounce, he broke it in a big way. If things still look high flat pinky yellow tonight and in the AM, we will go back to the last good sk1.5 dose. Only time will tell... nailbite_smile

Gosh, all I need to do is write in Zener's condo about a possible dose increase near the end of the 72 hour bounce break waiting period and he jumps on the express train! Good thing we are wearing our patience pants! :lol:

I'm supposed to fly out Saturday for Germany for work and through Philly, we'll see what happens since Irene the hurricane is on the way to the east coast. Liz, Zener's other bean, will be a single mom while I'm gone and she will be posting and asking for advice while I am away. She is much more confident with shots and testing than when she had to take over for the first time when I had emergency surgery 5 weeks ago!

Appetite has kicked back up as numbers have come down. Sudden drop at +2 has slowed at +3, so maybe it won't be a crazy night after all. I'll get another spot check before bedtime in the next hour or so, and the numbers will tell me if it's bedtime or not. ;-)
 
Looks like we have a slow yellow slide, heading to blues perhaps?

About to head to bed, will likely be up during the night and can get spot check then. Numbers looking better, maybe bounce is over and then we can see if he settles into this 1.25u dose. Paws crossed the dose holds!
