Happy lazy Caturday LL,

So far, this morning has consisted of alarm clock, poke, shoot, feed, back to bed; alarm clock, poke, back to bed; alarm clock, snooze, snooze, snooze, snooze, poke, consider going back to bed, decide against it, hanging out in house with cute kitty! Shasta's had a good appy this morning. Granted, I had to do a little bowl holding, but nonetheless, she ate ~1.5 oz of 5% FF this morning and about .40 oz of 4%.

Is it strange that she is most purry and energetic when she's in the 200's? When she starts dropping into 100's and less she becomes very quiet and only really wants to nap. I suppose it could be because she's a cat and it's nap time - all the time (when she's not hungry). hmmm...silly kitties!

Have a great Caturday everyone!

Good Morning Deborah and cutie Shasta!

Sounds like a niiice cozy saturday morning  I like the 'bowl holding' haha... sometimes, as I`m holding the bowl, I wonder if I`m doing it because he has trained me to! I don`t know about normal behavior in the blues vs yellows yet, :-D I^ll be waiting to see what people say here..
Have a lovely Caturday you guys!

Good morning, Alexa!

I love lazy days! At some point today, I'll actually put on real clothes and run to Target and grocery store. Not that we expect to catch much of Tropical Storm Isaac over here on the east side of Florida, I still need to get food for me. Shasta, of course, has plenty of food to last her several months. Me...not so much! (yes, you can say I'm trained...whipped, would be another good word!) I guess if I got desperate, I could borrow Shasta's food!

As for Reuben's blues and yellows...you're seeing more and more of them!!! YAY!!!! Hope you and the kitties have a great weekend!

Hi Deborah, Nice +6 there for Shasta! Your Saturday sounds like mine with the btd's then up, then btd! I didn't even get my laundry done yet, and I usually am in the LR by 8 am! I was watching the Tropical Storm Isaac on the weather channel. Glad it won't be affecting you, or will you still get some of the storm rains? Have a nice day, and I should also do the Target, market thing, too.

Hi Ann!

Sundays are my laundry days, so I'll worry about that tomorrow. But I still haven't gotten off this couch, yet. It's really difficult when I have a cat using my as a pillow!!! :-D

We are getting some of the outer rain bands right now and they'll increase throughout the day and tomorrow. Depending on the actual track T.S. Isaac takes after it leaves Cuba, we may get lots more rain or just some rain. The weather channel lists Monday as the heaviest rain day. The rain doesn't bother me. In fact, the pasture (and my hydrangeas!) really need the rain, so no complaints! I'm just worried about family and friends. Family is up in the Florida Panhandle and friends are in Tallahassee. ugh! Rain making (some) is fine; tornadoes/high winds are NOT ok!!!!!

Keep enjoying your lazy day and don't worry about laundry...it'll get done...someday! :-D

Re: 8/25 Shasta PMPS=302; +1=294; +2=177;

hmmm...I wonder where this drop will lead us. I think since her massive drop Thursday morning I have been over-reacting when I see her drop and I immediately start stuffing her with food, so she's not getting as "low" or surfing as long and she's going much higher than usual. It could also have to do with how much I hate these syringes. Since I have been using the Relions, I haven't really been certain I was shooting the right dosage...not once! UGH! I know, that's not good and I'm a bad momma bean.

First, I need to order new syringes...I guess I'm going to try the Terumo syringes because so many of you like them (granted, there are several people that don't like them.) Next, I'm going to have to try to figure out how to use calipers...oh yeah, and order some. I only have 10 more minutes until her +3. Be back soon.

p.s. I just watched about 4 episodes of "My Cat from Hell"...just makes me giggle in a sad, kind of way!

like that 95.
And it's still the weekend, you're home, so better time to have the drop instead of those school days??

Re: 8/25 Shasta PMPS=302; +1=294; +2=177; +3=95; +3.5=73

Totally agree! We were at 73 (+3.5). She did just have a tiny snack of 2% and I'm 10 minutes away from her +4. Would love a pretty green surf and no huge bounce up to the yellows and pink like earlier today. I mean, I know we'll get to the yellows, but I want to glide up there...not sling shot!

Re: 8/25 Shasta PMPS=302; +1=294; +2=177; +3=95; +3.5=73

Hi Deborah, have you thought about giving some medium carb food at +1 and/or +2 to keep her from diving and try to flatten out the curve? One problem we had with that is that Zener didn't want to go back to his regular food. Now, we give him zobaline in a pill pocket, which has carbs, so we try to be strategic about when we give him that. I remember one day he has a ore-shot of 400-something then a big drop at +1 and I gave him some carbs and he stayed in the pinks all day. Anne was kind of annoyed with me but that was the beginning of less bouncing. Have a good evening! Are you getting any rain yet?

Re: 8/25 Shasta PMPS=302; +1=294; +2=177; +3=95; +3.5=73; +4

Thanks Liz, I was going to solicit advice regarding her drops and food and you got to it before I could start asking! :-D As you mentioned, I'm most worried about getting her to eat the low carb stuff after the mid-carb, because she already hates the low carb food. And I'm worried about her hanging out in the yellows all day or arriving in the stinky pinkies and never coming back down. She hits her peak so early in the 12 hour cycle, she doesn't surf long (if any!), and then it's up, up and away from there. ugh! I do have some 8% & 10% food, but I've never tried it with her, so I don't know if she'll like it or eat it. I HATE this game! grr_red

Thanks again for the advise!
