8/24 Shasta

WCR: Got snuggles last night, but she was sitting in the hallway when I got up this morning. She was very strange when I got up...no chatter, took her a while to get up and follow me to the kitchen, very quiet and almost somber. :? Her appy is so-so. I did get some good rubs and a few headbutts in the bathroom while I was getting ready for work. I've noticed lately that even when I'm giving her her treats (vaseline or coconut oil), she's excited about them, but then doesn't actually lick all of it off of my finger. It's so weird. :YMSIGH: Hopefully, I'll can get some fluids in her tonight.

Quick +1.75 update...I finally got her to eat all of her breffis...hence the fuds spike. Also, I remembered that she finished her overnight snack at +10.5, so that's probably why she wasn't especially hungry to start with?!?! I have gotten lots of purrs this morning...I just hope they're purrs of love and not purrs of pain. I've heard that some cats purr when they're in pain. :sad: Or maybe it's really that they purr despite the pain?! I don't know, but I do know that I'm late. Toodles.

*tried to give 1/4 tab cypro...spit it out. *tried a second 1/4 tab cypro...we fought...she ended up vomiting...it was horrible. :cry:

Great +1.75 update....I'm glad she ate everything! We are so sensitive to every little nuance with our furbabies...I so wish they could talk! Maybe Shasta's late snack mellowed her for the morning. Good luck with fluids tonight. Have a great day, Deborah!

I'm glad you finally got Shasta to eat this morning. It's so hard not to worry about every little change we notice. I hope Shasta is acting more normal this evening.

Tonight was horrible. She was waiting for me on the couch when I got home...not her normal napping place in the late afternoon. She just looked lethargic. I tested her, shot her, and put out some FF Chunky Turkey. She completely turned her nose up at it. I checked her automatic feeder to see how much she had eaten...maybe half, but mostly from the afternoon. So, I decided that I would get her a 1/4 tab cypro. She managed to get her tongue in the way and prevent me from getting it down her throat. She was really pissed at that point and I should have just left her alone, but instead I tried for a fresh 1/4 tab. So much worse. Let's just say, it ended in her vomiting everything in her tummy. SH*T!!!!! I opened a new flavor to see if she would forgive me...nope. I finally defrosted some 14% Friskies Turkey & cheese and she was much better, but that was when I figured out that she does NOT like her fuds warmed up. I had to stick it back in the freezer for 2 minutes to get it room temp. :roll: Since this ordeal, I have catered to her every whim...I've scritched...I've held bowls (yes, that's plural!) and I've begged for her forgiveness. :YMSIGH: Because i've been so focused on her, I didn't get any work done and now I'm way past my "ideal" bedtime. :-|

I knew today was going to be one of those Mondays...yet again, a/c was not working at school. I almost would not have minded doing another ice bucket challenge just to cool myself down today. :-x Ok, one last poke and then off to sleep. Sorry, I'm missing condos.
