8/24 Racci AMPS-120,+3-83,+7-68,PMPS-136

Racci seems to feel better today. She was green this morning and ate her breakfasts and pooped 2x, all p's have been exhibited and her sores on her bottom look like they are getting better.

I tried to put a picture here but I'm getting an error message. I need someone to walk me through it so I can see what I'm doing wrong. Anyone know how? I got a message saying that it couldn't determine the size.?

Hi Melanie,
If you are trying to put an image on a post.
I get that message often. When you find some picture you like, say on google images, there is often
a couple of choices to the right that you can click on, usually one that will say blank pixels x blank pixels.
click on that.
it should open a window and if it's a good link , you will see nothing but the picture you are wanting to use.
That's the address that you want to copy and paste and put in your image .

Did I say that clearly?


But if the link takes you to some website that doesn't show the picture you want, then you might have to find another picture.

that's how I've been doing it.

It's a photo from the photo album. The link looks right. You think it's the address that's wrong? hmm, I'll check that again. So maybe if I click on open in another window it will give me a better address. Thanks.

Maybe saving it to your computer first (I'm thinking the 'photo album' is out in the cloud well somewhere) will solve the problem. Then if the picture is too large you can go here http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ to resize it. I'm so gald her bottom is getting better, it does seem to be taking quite a while doesn't it, poor little Racci :?
 
Hi Melanie!

You see the button marked "Img" right above the text box where you type to post on threads? Click it and you'll get two sets of square brackets, like this: "
". There is no actual space between the two sets of brackets, but that's where the cursor has to go when you post what's called the "image location".

If you go on google, do a search for anything, say a flower, and then select google's "Images", and then right-click on any of the images that were found, you'll get a drop-down menu with the option "Copy Image Location". If you select that, and then go back to your FDMB textbox, put the cursor between the square brackets, and then on your keyboard press "CTRL" (control) and "V", it will insert the image location you just selected over on google.

If you get an error message saying the size could not be determined, it normally means to image is too high or too wide (I think the permissible size is 600 by 800 pixels). I've never tried inserting a copied "image location" from *only* my laptop - I seemed to always have to upload the image I wanted to an online location (I use Facebook, but one can use any online file storing space, Photobucket is one that's popular, and there are lots of others). When I take photos with our digital camera, their file sizes are way too big (2MB or more even), so I use a computer programme (the one I use is called "Media Impression", but one can use Paint, or CorelPaint, or CorelDraw and a lot of others) to re-size an image, and I tend to go for something like 300 by 400 pixels, then upload to a Facebook photo album, then copy image location and insert into square bracket sets in FDMB text box.

Hi Serryn & Jane,

The photo was on my computer and I put it in the photo album. It might be too big though. I'll have to look at the size again. I did use the img tag but I didn't copy the address line that way so I can try that too. Thanks both of you. You gave me some ideas of what I might have done wrong. I have photoshop so can resize it on my computer. It'll probably have to wait though.

I'm having a computer problem today! :evil: :twisted: :cry: After messing with this all day, I figured I better get Racci's condo up and now I have to go try to convince her to eat a little hi-test since she's at 56 at +3 and has been getting a +6 nadir lately. I tried feeding her but she didn't eat. I still have to go into the registration and all kinds of things to fix this d***/ computer! All because I had to update the anti-virus program! grrrrr!
