Tiger has a 10:30 vet appointment. They pick him up at the car and then we talk on the phone before and after the exam. I hope his blood sugar behaves! That is a bad time to not be able to test him. All extremities crossed that there is diagnosis and treatment:nailbiting:

Thank you all for your love, kindness, and support for us and for Tiger:bighug:

I will post as soon as I can after...

Kathy, I just got an email that sounds like Tiger could have a heart problem called FATE. I missed that his heart was found to be enlarged at the dental. You might need to see a cardiologist. I hate playing armchair vet but reading this from Dr. Becker’s list sounds to me like Tiger.

Good luck at the vet. :bighug:

Thank you Elise!!!
I have read about that. Given that it comes and goes--we had a milder version just last weekend--and previous to the dental but I didn't recognize that we had a problem! I'm not sure it could be that. And he isn't in the great pain they say that causes.
Haven't seen him walk yet this morning...will put him into the LB soon...before we go for sure!
I so appreciate all the support and will try to keep you all up to date:bighug:

I'm just waiting to hear about Tiger. I know it's only 10:39 a.m. where you are so I'm trying to be patient (1:39 p.m. here). LOVE to Tiger.

Thank you Elise!!!

Yes. That's why I asked you to check his feet to see if they are cold. Also, cats that have this also are in mega-pain and usually screaming in pain so I didn't really think this was Tiger. I'm so worried though, but optimistic because Tiger is tough!

Hi all,
We are home from the vet. Tiger is ok-tested at 75 and ate well and on his bed with DH.
It is pointing towards a brain tumor. She took xrays and blood and we will get info later today.
The clinic where we could get a CT scan is the ER that is doing critical only animals. There may be no treatment anyway. More research to be done but after today's info.
Love and thanks to you all for caring so much-thoughts and prayers and well wishes are all appreciated:bighug:
That's all I really have right now. We are going to eat and rest and wait...

Oh no. I am very sad to hear this about dear Tiger. I can't believe it. I hope that is a mistake. She didn't go over the x-ray with you? I don't get what's not critical about a possible brain tumor. But really you must be very overwhelmed right now with this news. I know I would be. Know that you and John and Tiger have all of my love and support. I wish there was something I could do....

Well Tiger's blood work and xray came back perfect. That's actually not a good thing in that it means he probably does have a brain tumor. Most likely cerebellar. Even if we could go to Portland and get a scan, he isn't a good candidate for possible surgical removal given his heart problem. So we are hoping for a miraculous spontaneous recovery. I will also look into mega doses of B vites. I really believe in that. At age 22 I had Bell's Palsy and found a good neurologist who gave me electrical stimulation and mega doses of B vites and I recovered. Which is rare with that disease. So instead of not even being able to drink through a straw for my entire life I was able to even play the oboe. (a double reed woodwind instrument0.
Suzanne gave me good info on B vites which I will now follow up on as soon as I can restart...
Love and thanks and hugs to you all. Sorry I have to hurt your hearts with this news.:bighug:

Oh Kathy, I’m so sad to hear this. Are there any medications that could help him? Besides B bites anything holistic? We are here for you to support as much as we can. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I am praying all that I can for Tiger. I am sad and I don’t know what to say right now. I know you will continue to research and find help as much as you can for Tiger. I wish I knew what I could research for you.

Yes. We are. I am totally behind this message of Elise 100 percent. Is there any research I can do to help find treatments? You say his blood work and x-rays don’t show anything. What is the indicator of a brain tumor? How does the bet know this. I’m sorry. I just want to understand what is happening. Ignore me if I am asking too much.

Suzanne you are precious.
We did the blood work and xrays to rule out other causes for his symptoms. The symptoms fit cerabellar tumor pretty much to a T. She did test him for other things and narrowed it down by ruling them out.
I hope you can talk to a vet at that practice and maybe get a local referral.
She gave us the names of 2 neurologists further north. Even if we are able to get an MRI and pin it down we wouldn't be able to have surgery. The chemo and radiation are an additional treatment to surgery. But I will continue to read and I appreciate everyone's input very much!
Is there any research I can do to help find treatments?
If there is any research done with mega doses of B vites for this I would be very interested!
Thank you all!
