Happy Caturday!!! Many healing vines to all who need them including Mariko's Lucy and Suzanne!

Gracie got up early this morning and I heard her in the LB and just as I nodded back off to sleep, I heard her purrrreow! as she came up the ramp to the bed. I was lying on my side facing away from the ramp and the next thing I feel is her standing with her front paws on my shoulder as she leaned over and put her little wet nose on my face and gave me another purrrrreowwww!! Time to get up!!! I didn't move. She climbed over me, sidled up next to me, and kerplop.....I got a face full of thick, plush, soft baby girl hair and she was purring up a storm. I love mornings with Gracie

Big adventure last night as I was turning out the lights to go to bed. I saw Tobey out of the corner of my eye playing with something in our bedroom and then Gracie ran over to him to share in the fun. I thought I better make sure it wasn't a scorpion. Oh no....it wasn't a scorpion. It was a tarantula!!!!   Not quite full grown but big enough and Tobey kept slapping it with his paw. So I had alot of fun trying to get this tarantula up on the dustpan with those two helping. I'd get him on it and then he'd scurry off and land on the floor and here came the dynamic duo. Finally got him on the dustpan to stay, got him into the garage where he jumped off a couple more times, and eventually I got him out the garage door into the outdoors. Lots of fun at midnight

I think Rex's daddy, Rich, and I are going to try and meet up for some lunch depending on what Missy G and Rex have in mind. It's fun having another LL member live nearby!! Hope you all have a super day.

Re: 8/24 Gracie AMPS 198

Hi Marje. That was quite an adventure with tarantula last night. Sounds like Tobey and Gracie had lots to talk about the rest of the night. Hope Gracie and Rex grant their beans a kitchen pass for lunch  .

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend Marje.

Re: 8/24 Gracie AMPS 198

I bet the tarantula had quite a story to tell on her condo, too! We've never seen on in the house (yet) but we see plenty out on the trails. I'm glad you saved it and set it free - lucky spider. Hope Gracie & Rex let you guys go out to lunch. Have a great weekend!

Re: 8/24 Gracie AMPS 198

Looks like Gracie is coming down a bit today. Please get to the lagoon, at least on top of the water so beans can enjoy their lunch.
So nice you can get together. So scary on the tarantula, but at least you saved his life and no one was hurt.

Have a great day!

Re: 8/24 Gracie AMPS 198

Oh wow on the tarantula. I'm glad you were able to get it outside, despite the dynamic duos attempts to help.

I hope Gracie slides down today.

Re: 8/24 Gracie AMPS 198

Ok, I thought I had it bad in Florida. I will never come to Arizona because I had no idea tarantulas live in Arizona. Now, I don't really have a problem with them - I've actually held one before, but I can't believe they get in your house! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I thought I had it bad with the roaches here. God, I have to stop talking about it because I'm going to have nightmares. PS. I'm so happy you didn't kill it. Most people would not do that.

Anyway, I'm so jealous that Gracie is so sweet in the morning. I may get Hector running across my face at full speed every now and then, but nothing like what you got. Sweet little Gracie....

We had a little flat, low yellow today and a slide into blue. Mr. L took that dive yesterday a little too seriously! It's been cool here today (ok...that's relative...it was in the low 90s) and the three kitters have been on the catio all day enjoying the breeze

John, Tara, Doreen, Carla, and Dara! thanks for visiting today. Aaahh......a tarantula free day :-D :-D Simple pleasures   We actually have quite a few on the property and I would much rather have them than roaches....ewwwwwwww ickkkkkkkk. I hate roaches. Tarantulas are good so I would never ever kill one. When I was working out last night, there was a huge one on the driveway headed for the garage so I put the garage door down.

Rich and I went to lunch and it was just lovely. Such a sweet guy and he loves Rex so much it brings tears to my eyes. Rex is a very, very, very lucky and handsome kitty cat!!!

Hope you've had a great day. Time to visit condos :-D

I so love to hear about Gracie cuddling up with you! Makes me pea green with envy since ollie is pretty stingy with this cuddles. I'm glad you and Rich had a fun lunch. It's nice to have like minded people close by.
YIKES on the tarantula! Outside with you spidey!!
We try not to call "them" roaches in FL. We'd rather call them palmetto bugs.
have a great evening. Please pass out lots of scritches and hugs to you and Mike.

I've never seen a tarantula, but I love spiders. They are so beneficial. Roaches I have seen plenty of (but we don't seem to have them in the Adirondacks). We have ants--lots of ants.

Nice that you could have lunch with Rich.

Have a great evening and a lovely day tomorrow,

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Oh...no thank you on that tarantula. I just had an up close and personal encounter with a large brown spider out at the barn tonight. That's the last spider encounter I need for the rest of the school year. Glad you had 2 furries to help with the tarantula!

The pleasure was all mine. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
I love how we consider Tucson cool being in the 90s.

But it was much nicer than 104. Glad to see Gracie back in the Blues. Now if Rex would just mimic her.

What fierce protectors are those kitties. After reading about the adventures of spider cats, this is the image I have in my mind.

Hi Marje. Hope LBG turned around during her PM cycle and put some nice green Gracie numbers on the old SS. There are some great pics posted of tarantula cats. Hope you don't have that experience again for quite awhile.

Thank you for your visit yesterday. Loved the pic! Have a great day Marje.
