Try not to panic with high numbers - changing the dose based on pre-shot numbers isn't the best approach...consistency is best.

Please get some mid-cycle tests and let's see how long it takes before he clears this bounce...

Sorry, just saw your message to get a +5. I am in a meeting at the moment, so the best I can do is the normal +6. The +6 = 397. We are having a PINK day.

Since we are in the YELLOW, my husband is going to feed Gideon some 8-9% food, and he set his alarm to retest at +8.
Should I have him retest at +6 instead? He will not get up more than once.
 
I think +6. When he’s started in yellow sometimes he’s dropped by +5. It’s a tough call. I’m not much help. What does your gut say?
 
My husband did wake at +6 and tested Gideon. He BG is 114! My husband fed him Fancy Feast Medley 20% carbs, but will not retest. I hope the Fancy Feast Medleys is enough to keep Gideon safe. He said Gideon was eating it very well. I am unable to leave work, or else I would. Since my Gideon is carb sensitive, I hope he doesn't go into the GREEN.
 
Thank you. Yes, I do hope the 20% carb food is enough. The other kitties were asleep and still are. My husband quietly opened the can in another part of the house, so the others wouldn't hear it. This way Gideon has it all to himself.
