Morning LL! Moonie is feeling good today! She Ate well & is out here with me, eyes glued so I wont go out :lol:
Last nite a cat came near our big windows where our fam. rm. is--Cats come close to try to torture Moonis & they did the same to Copper!
Moonie saw a cat outside--BLEW UP TO 3X HER SIZE-TAIL GIGANTIC!! Screaming & climbing the screen all the way up !! What a fierce fighter & protector she is!!--We were sitting there like this :o :o :o --Finally it left & she came down on her own! OMG she flew all over the room like she had no neuropathy!!
What a cat :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

All is well with me except I am still tired--It was worth it!--Have a great Tuesday all!

Hi guys .. beautiful numbers for moonie today .. that is crazy how cats get when they see intruders on their lawns! She sounds like mocha .. who once literally shoved her head and half her body out of our screen before we could catch her .. now we know better then to ever leave the house with a window open!

OMG we had an earthquake!!! Never had one before!--I thought I was having a stroke!
Very scary stuff, hats off to you in Calif..Dont know how you do it!!
Was at dining room table & floor started to shake,then light fixtures started moving side to side--
I just ran to bedroom to be with Moonie..If we go I'm going with her!-

Hope all LLanders were ok & fine--worried about those in DC,Virginia,maryland & east coast!!
Hope that is it & no aftershocks-Hope you all are ok--I was scared to death!

glad you're ok! my husband just called me from work about it. my brother & fam are in virginia - i'm gonna call them.

Didn't feel anything, but others here on campus did.
I think I was in serious zombie mode collecting data at work when it happened.
I wonder if Donny reacted at home. He's very sensitive about such things.

Wow on the quake. I've lived in CA 14 years and never felt one!I'm g;ad you are fine and hop others check in soon.

Gorgeous numbers for Moonie, was that +5 before or after the quake? If after she is taking it really well! :lol:

Apparently I'm the only person on the east coast who didn't feel the earthquake. I guess I was too focused on cleaning the bathrooms - sad state indeed! The kitties weren't phased either...

Wow, maybe all the FD kitties on the east coast dropped their numbers at the same time, causing the earth to tremble!

Hi Roni, I was thinking of you and wondered if you felt it and were okay. it is unnerving and scary, to say the least. How did Moonie react? I've felt some little quakes here over the years, but usually not a lot of damage. That was a big one for the east coast. You might have some aftershocks. Hugs and lubs and extra scritches for Moonie

Hi Roni, I also wondered if you felt it. It shook my recliner. I was watching a preacher on TV and thought I was having a religious experience. :-D
Checkers was sleeping a few feet away, and never even opened an eye. So much for animal intuition.

Wow on Miss Moonie trying to protect you from the big bad cat outside. :-D

Hi Roni, They say we felt it up in the Adirondacks, too, (and even in Montreal) but we were in the car returning from the paddle and didn't feel anything. Don't know about Rusty. His +9 was a little high, but he may have eaten his automat food shortly before +9. The last time there was an earthquake in NYC we were also in the car-- on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway --and didn't feel it!
Moonie has such nice numbers today. I hope you're well rested after the weekend's workfest.

WOW on the quake!!!! :shock: :shock: I think i would have had to change my underpants if i was you! This is the first i've heard about it, i'm glad you and Moonie were fine, how did she handle it? Or should i say, how did you handle it Roni?

Very funny on the poofy tail, i just love it when our kitties tails poof up, so cute. Moonie sounds like a very fierce protector, she may be better to have around than a dog!!!

Moonie slept through the whole earthquake...Not a Clue!!
I however thought I was either having a stroke or a seizure!!
Now a Horrocane is coming up the coast! Double header?? I cant take the stress!
And Aftershocks---EEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!! :o :shock: ohmygod_smile :o nailbite_smile ohmygod_smile

She is having great numbers lately! That makes me happy...Hope everyone is safe & sound.

greetings from the land of earthquakes.... fun, aren't they? well not really... And Moonie slept through it all... awesome! You gotta love it... I hope all ether are OK, and those in VA, where I hear the epicenter of the quake was located. They can be downright scary...

Good numbers today Moonie - keep them coming!

Wow Moonie is a great guard cat!

I had lived in CA for 9 years after growing up in the Midwest. I had come home from the bars and couldn't tell if my room was moving because I was drunk or if it was an earthquake! :lol: :lol: :lol:

fwiw, if you are moving when an earthquake hits, i.e. walking, driving, etc....., you don't tend to feel them.

i'm surprised so many east coast kitties didn't register the quakes. i would think they would be so foreign to them they'd freak out worst than our west coast kitties do.
