8/23 Mia Do they make syringes with .75 marking? Answered.

I have syringes with 1u mark and 1/2 u mark. Anyone know of 3/4 u mark syringe?
They do make 1/2 unit syringes. Best to use those.

You may want to consider a digital calipers. They’re so helpful at accurate dosing. The syringes are often mismarked.
We have a tutorial here on using calipers that is so helpful.
Thank you. Tonight, all I have is a syringe with 1/2 unit plus 1 unit markings, so I guess I’ll just have to eyeball the space between the two.

Syringes with 1/4 unit markings do not exist. You have to eyeball between the 1/2 unit marks, or use calipers. This Sticky Note: Insulin Care & Syringe Info: Proper Handling, Drawing, Fine Dosing has pictures towards the bottom of the note of what the 0.25 unit looks like on the syringe.
Thanks, Wendy. Problem is I have cataracts and the black hash marks are so very tiny .. coupled with a black plunger. Just took me 25 minutes and a magnifying glass to try to eyeball between the 1/2 and 1 unit mark. She may have gotten too little or too much - I have no way of knowing .. I’m just flying blind. Guess I’ll be up all night taking BG readings …. Appreciate your reply.
