Last night was good, he played, watched a deer eat my hosta's, got his nails trimmed by DH and myself.
I left out the rest of his 10pm meal, he didn't quite finish, if he ate that late, or early this am, would that cause a high number this morning? about a tablespoon full.

have a good day all!
Clear blue skies, low temp, no humidity!

I occasionally test a +1 just to see what the food number is in relation to the preshot number.
Mine is usually in the 20 -30 range .
You could figure yours out if you give a random test ever so often before food and after food.

It's hard to know when Junior ate that left over.
You always want at the very least, test 2 hrs after food . My girl seems to take about 2 hrs 20 minutes for the number
to be unrelated to her food.
I don't know how often you are feeding. Smaller meals more often help with bg. Keeps it on a more even keel.
But not everyone 's schedule works where they can do that. I think the 2x a day feeding is the least friendly method for
diabetic cats.

I always give my girl a low carb meal for the middle of the night because she's hungry every few hours.
Tikicat chicken is 0%. that's her new favorite.

The better feeding schedule is at your shot times, snacks somewhere in between the +2.5 thru +6 and then try to abstain from the +6 to the next shot time. My girl doesn't always make that 6 hr gap so I try to not give her anything between the +7 to shot time
in the daytime. I can't manage it for the evening/early wee hours cycle.

HaPPy Furrrsday!
