Hi Barb. Checkers made a few nice slides into the Lagoon this morning. He looks good in green. Sorry yesterday's vet report wasn't as positive as it could have been but it the good news is there are meds that help him and minimize his pain. Glad all is normal with him this morning.

Thank you for your visit yesterday and have a great day Barb.

This has been a nice green day for Checkers. He's been snacking on Gravy Lovers clumps that had the gravy licked off earlier.

Rhiannon, nothing special is being done for the anemia now, because it is slight.
Dr Dave told me, not as a concern, but because it is a change from last time.
I couldn't remember what he said about it, because we talked about so many things.
I talked to vet tech today.

The RETIC is just barely high, meaning his body is working to making new red blood cells.
His RBC is right on the good side of the line of low/normal. Normal is 5.00 - 10.00...his is 5.15.
HCT is on the low side, at 27.%.....normal being 30.-45.

So, as long as he is making his own red blood cells, nothing special is needed, for now.

What a beautiful day for Checkers!   Good news that the numbers that were out on the B/W are not something to be concerned about at this point.

Way to go, Checkers! I'm proud of you!!

Hi Barb, I'm so glad that the anaemia isn't a concern now. The new Bupe schedule looks to be working well. Have a good night.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Nice numbers for Checkers today. :-D
I'm glad the anemia isn't serious.
Sending prayers he'll keep it that way.
