Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans. He finished his nighttime food at some point, probably around dawn. He is slightly lower this morning and I am hoping that the bounce will finally clear. Much will depend on how well I have figured out what his dose is when measured on the Terumos with the calipers. I am using 2.22mm to approximate a 1.5U dose. Thanks to Marje's detailed instructions about how to deal with these tricky Terumo syringes, I was able to do what I think was a flawless shot this morning!! (see Rusty's yesterday condo, above).
Rusty is now chillaxing in his little bed by the [cold] radiator.

It's another beautiful morning here in the Adirondacks and I am going on an easy bike ride with some friends. Edward and Rusty will hold the fort this morning. I'll be back probably in time for a late lunch, but Edward will feed Rusty his lunch, take him outdoors for some fresh air and sunshine, give him his combing, etc.

Hi Ella, sounds like you're getting the dose smoothed out now with the calipers and Teurmos. Have a great bike ride today!

Nice blue start for Rusty. A nice easy ride sounds like a great way to spend the day. Sounds like Edward and Rusty will have plenty to keep them busy. Have a great day Ella!!

Nice blue start there , Rusty! I hope the Terumos work better for you this time. My problem was getting rid of the big bubble on top. It just would not expel when I dialed in the dose. they were a lot easier to read though. Where were Marje's instructions?

Hi again,
Rusty almost caught the chipmunk, but Chip Chip is fast and got away. This all happened while I was out on the bike ride.

We had another successful shot with the Terumo syringe tonight (thanks to Marje!). There was only the tiniest drop left on the tip of the syringe when I pulled it out. These syringes have a whole different feel from the Monojects, but I think I can get used to them.

It looks like Rusty had a flat day (although I wasn't home for the mid-day test). I hope this means that the bounce is clearing and that tomorrow we'll be back to normal, Rusty-like numbers. There is still the question of how well I have "translated" the dose from Monoject to Terumo. It may take more tweaking.

The bike ride, which I thought would be easy, was only easy until the pavement ended. Then it was a dirt road with lots of sand and rocks. I wish I had brought my old mountain bike, but I didn't know the road would be dirt and took my folding bike (Bike Friday). The circumference of the wheels was too small and it was very difficult to ride on that surface. Beautiful scenery, however, and I'm glad I went.

I'm impressed that you've got your caliper measurement down. Almost??? :-D
I haven't even played with mine yet, and it's been a month. One day I'm going to wish I had done it. With Checks being on f.5, it's an easy dose to measure, so I've been lazy about learning the caliper.
Ouch on the bumpy bike ride, but glad you enjoyed it anyway. :-D

Nice steady day for Rusty, and sounds like the terumo syringes are starting to work well for you. A great day even with your bike ride bumpier than expected :o Have a great evening!

Love those blues! We've gone back to the MJs and Tess seems good w/the dose this way. I may still have to try the Terumos again, they do have much clearer lines.

Ella, the Vuelta is on Universal Sports. We had to subscribe to a sports channel package to get it. :sad: It's the only thing in the package we use, but they do have track and field, swimming, diving and other no mainstream sports all year, not just every 4!

That's great you are feeling confident with the syringes, what a relief! And nice run of blues today for Mr Rusty, the chipmunk hunter. :-D
 
Almost at the lagoon tonight! Good boy seems to have broken the bounce. Now, Rusty, let's not have another bounce!!
