It has been a tough decision what dose to give Mac while I am on vacation. I have someone who can shoot but not test.

I have decided on .5 twice a day. I will work hard when I get back to get him back on track.

I felt so up and down about its as he had been falling 3 times in the last week. Now to end up at 500 the day we leave. My friend who will be living at the house will make sure he eats and we will pick it up when I get back Monday. prayers for Mac.

Is a bounce based on how low they go or how much they dropped in 1 cycle...or can be either?

For example Mac dropped from 497 to 155 in 1 cycle yesterday. Normally I don't think of 155 as low but could his 500 this morning still be considered a bounce because of a big drop yesterday. I am trying to make myself feel better as I leave on vacation and hope this high number was a bounce.

It can be from either. A steep drop like that would likely cause a bounce - Kit has been known to bounce from smaller steep drops, and that one was pretty huge for Mac.

I hope you're able to enjoy yourself on your vacation. You have a plan to get Mac back on track once you get home, and it's important that you as the caregiver also are able to do things for yourself.

Thanks for your help Elise! AND he will make sure he eats even if syringe feeding is needed which hasn't been required for a long time expect during HYPO times.
