I was sooo tired I just went btb after the morning's shot. We had a big fight over breakfast - Kasha didn't want to eat and I was so tired, so I force fed her nearly 1 Tbsp. Not happy. She is making a lot of slurping noises when she breathes - it's messy sounding , but she still enjoys pets and played attack my hand yesterday. The decongestant nose drops aren't making a lot of difference - probably because they're not getting far enough into her nose. It's so blocked up that the drops just kind of sit near the nostril opening and eventually she gets tired of me holding her head up at an angle so she pulls back and the drop goes... wherever.

Eating is tough when you can't breathe out of your nose very well. She did eat nearly all of her +9 snack (1 Tbsp Wellness).

Sigh.

Re: 8/22 Kasha AMPS 137

Hey, Kris, on my way to work this morning I was listening to this program and they were talking about wild oregano oil being used for sinus problems and I thought about you and Kasha. For the life of me, I can't remember the web site they mentioned or the Doctor's name, but me knowing me the way I do, called my voice mail at the office and left myself a message. BUT I won't be able to get it until tomorrow. I looked up wild oregano oil on the net, and here is one web site that sells it...http://www.wellnessresources.com/supple ... no_oil.php
I will check out the original web site tomorrow and send it to you. Looks like it doesn't have anything that would hurt Kasha, and who knows, it may help!

Ok, did some more research. The Dr. is Dr. Cass Ingram. I was trying to look to see if there was a q&a section to see if it would be ok for kitties to use

She ate maybe 1 Tbsp Wellness dinner. It's hard to tell because I measure it and then mix in water. Normally she laps up all the liquid with the food and I can measure what remains, but since she didn't really finish all that much and I added water to the mix more than once... I have no real idea how much she ate. I gave her 1/6 of a cyproheptadine tablet in a skinny pill pocket rolled in chicken dust - which she miraculously ate up without any drama - she wasn't interested in pill pockets AT ALL the last time I tried. Then she ate some bits of freeze dried chicken. I'm hoping the cypro will kick in and she'll get some food into her.

Gave her 50 mg azithromycin tonight and her a/b nose drops after dinner.

Poor little girl.

BTW - my horse, Tigger, seemed to be doing pretty well today. Dyana asked about him yesterday, but I hadn't been out to see him yet, so I had nothing to report. He was filthy, but walking pretty well and while there was a pile of grain dust in his feed bin, all the actual grain seems to have been eaten.

glad to hear Tigger is doing well. And at least Kasha ate her pill pocket, hope she gets better soon, this is so hard on the two of you. HUGS

Glad to hear that Tigger is walking better, and is getting used to the new grain. Filthly because he was rolling and enjoying retirement? :-D
Now, for Kasha: Sending cypro works good vines to Kasha, tonight. Eat lots for dinner, Kasha girl.
