So after some back and forth with the vet I am completely unconvinced that Faraday has FIC. The medicine did absolutely nothing except zonk the poor dude out, and he became an even more regular couch-defiler.
I suggested maybe it was territorial peeing, since it seems to fit the bill on a number of levels, and the vet agreed that seemed likely. She suggested switching litters (Dr Elsey’s Cat Attract), restricting access to the couch, and continuing the Feliway.
Paws, fingers, and toes crossed - we’re 6 days without an inappropriate pee incident!
On the BG side of things Faraday is looking good as per usual! A highly unusual two-morning-in-a-row green PS as of this morning, and I am not complaining. He’s been snuggling at my feet on the couch this week as well (not normally a snuggler) so maybe he’s just apologizing for my couch ;-)
