It's good to hear that Binks is none the worse for wear due to the storm and he's back to his usual sweet self.

mom and i love the rain...but last night was just wind, wind, wind. This neighborhood is full of beautiful, huge trees (you know boise- "Les Bois, Les Bois...vouyeux les Bois!" 3 doors down an SUV got nailed by a branch about 16 ft long and a good 9 inches in diameter- ouch! Hope they got good insurance. good thing we got rid of all the "widow-makers" in our trees 2 wks ago! we had one lodged bout 45 feet up whose bole measured 14inches at the base. You should have seen my "monkey-bean" climbing up to get that one...thought i'd hafta go to the vet for a butt replacement cuz i nearly laughed mine off!!

btw mannie, how do i get long hair like yours? i think its stylin'!

ha! got the keyboard back from binks...i have to say, throughout this whole situation, binks has managed without fail to always maintain his calm, friendly, gentle demeanor-aside from crying some protests at the beginning of car rides (he was a prince during our ugly 8 hour relocation that became 19 hrs due to moving truck breakdowns)...no matter what procedure or routine we're doing, about all we see is an occasional wince and a crooked, wry smile. He didn't even pop tall during the unfortunate "nipple-shaving" incident b4 his ultrasound! pretty dang good partner for all this, and i'm thankful for the example he sets for me.

this is going to send right back to 'day 1 newbie-ville, but my brain just seemed to pull a relapse when i was trying to figure out how many doses there are in a lantus solostar 3ml pen. if there are 100 units per ml, that=300 units in the pen, Yes? but info on internet confused the issue for me, so will someone please reassure me that on his u-100 syringes, the correct dose for 1.25u is halfway btwn the 1u and the 1.5 unit mark? some guy on the net jumped in & said 1ml=1cc and flipped me into total confusion...(that's what i get for checking somewhere other than here)

and i can't take credit for ease of ketone testing. since kittenhood, he has announced his visits to the box because my older manx would follow him and bury his results for him, so with the Tidycat breeze cat box he has now...that test is a cakewalk!

A yellow...that is very nice! (I use the Breeze too....I really like that...no lugging the litter!!)

Well, well, well, Binks finally decided to change out of pink! That yellow is much nicer, going in the right direction now!

We use the breeze also, I love it! I stopped using the pads though. I just empty the trays once or twice daily, I think it's much easier than dealing with the pads.

yep...saves the price of the pads and since he's a potty announcer 'i'm peeing, mom!' makes it super easy to ketone test. better invention than post-it notes!!
celi... (binks would be horrified to know the secrets i share bout his elimination habits)

hhmmm...just plannin on steady schedule of stabbin and shootin...dont really have a good grasp on his cycle yet.

hope everyone has a healthy and relaxing night! and, like some of y'all, i still set the alarm faithfully, but Binks generally starts quiet wake-up lovies about 5 mins b4 alarm goes off. :)
