Morning!

Sorry I didn't get back in time to see everyone's replies until late last night. Yes I do give Leo a snack at +8 or +9 so its possible that darned mr pancreas is back from his holiday! And causing him to 'double dip'

Day 10 of rabies watch!!!!! It's over and my kitty is happy and healthy! I woke up this morning to my alarm going off and my little snuggle bug under the blankets with his head on my pillow purring up a storm, I have no idea how I didn't wake up when he crawled under the blankets. He was especially cranky yesterday at my parents place so me, Leo and my sister came back to my place last night and BAM crankiness subsided and happy kitty once again. But before we left My parents i walked onto the deck and just about stepped in a pile of mouse guts by the door......my little hunter had a successful hunt! Nom nom nom mice are a good snack apparently.

We had a good test, shoot and feed, Leo didn't eat much but I suspect he'll eat a few more sittings if breffis after awhile. I am BTB!!!

Well Leo found another bat!!!!   I was outside early this morning having my morning coffee and Leo decided to join me, he stuck his paw down the little wee space between the balcony and the railing and brought out a bat.......ACCCKKKKKK!!! I yelled at him "don't touch it!!!" and he listened, so inside we went......those little buggers are disgusting and have big teeth! After he dragged it out it was laying on its back flashing its big teeth. No worries tho, he snagged it by the wing with his claws and dragged it out that way. Then i watched it crawl around the balcony (all the while i was freaking out) and peeked out a few hours later and it was gone.....or so i thought, sure enough Leo found it again hiding under my BBQ, same story he dragged it out with his claws on its wing. I had to pick Leo up (along with the bat) and shook him to let go of it and he ended up flinging it over the railing!!!!! GOOD GRIEF!!!!! What a frickin stupid dingbat, and i'm glad he's gone, if i wasn't such a big baby i would ended his little bat life.....but they freak me out!

I gave my kitty a break on all the pokies today, i poked him at +4 and i got a little whimper like it really hurt him. I have no idea what he was up to BG wise but he gave me a nice 95 for supper. I'm going to try and give his ears a rest tonight too. He usually lets me know when he's too low anyway, so i'll just trust him to let me know.

Holy moly...Day 10 (congrats) and another bat??? I know Leo is used to having some outdoors time, but maybe he should hang inside for awhile...that is some scary stuff, even with an UTD rabies vax....

holy schmolly on the bat(s) - Ugh, and nasty little buggers. Leo - you be a good boy and leave them alone. OK? Please? The mouse guts grossed me out until I read that.  Leo gets all the good stuff! I am glad though that he is out of quarantine, and is fine. YAY!!!

very nice numbers for Leo today. I love the under the covers thing this morning. I miss that - mine either don't show at all, or hog my pillow....

Maybe you should stop him from going on the balcony. Also I would ensure that they don't have any way into your apt. They can fit through the tiniest spaces.

Hi Tracy: Leo is looking great today as usual!

I think you said you got Leo a rabies shot after the first episode, right? Glad you are at day 10.

Yeah...I'd have someone check into it and see if they are getting in somewhere.

So I guess this means you are headed back to work soon?

I know!! Bats are creepy little creatures, i'll have to call the super and get them to get rid of them. The same thing happened last year with pigeons, if its not one thing its another. I can't stop Leo from going outside, he just loves it too much and i'd hate to do that to him, he's rabies vaccinated now so it should be all good ;-)

Marje, i am on holidays and home until September 2nd! Still have a few weeks to go!

I guess i should open a Leo condo for today instead of using yesterdays

Hi Tracy, so glad it's Day 10 and Leo is out of quarantine. Oh my gosh, mouse guts for breakfast. And yikes, another bat, unbelievable! Leo is quite a hunter. Nice cycle today, too.
