8/20 Jynx AMBG 43 OTJ Trial Day 5

Good morning,

Jynx is still in the green this a.m. I was so stressed about traveling, and not having someone here to monitor him during the day, so this couldn't have happened at a better time. He's doing well today - a happy kitty

John, thank you for your offer to look after my DH. He's a bit uncomfortable with testing, so he'll be using the glucotest in the litter while I'm away. If there is any indication of glucose in the urine, or any change in Jynx's behavior, he will test at that time, and post any updates.

If the week is uneventful (fingers crossed), I'll update when I return. Thank you, all, for your time/advice/thoughtfulness. I would have been lost these last few weeks without you.

Dealing with my second cat, Jaggy, today who hasn't had a BM in the past couple of days. Gave an enema last night, with not much progress. So, back to the vet AGAIN. I'm sure that the vet is tired of seeing us, and both kitties can be difficult at the office. They probably both have big red checks on their files Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode :lol:

Lisa, I would not worry about Jynx while you are gone. It looks like the diabetes is controlled by the change in diet. As long as he stays away from the kibble, Jynx should be fine. Hope Jaggy is better soon.

Yay for JYNX! I think he will be fine with you gone, especially with an AMBG like that! Making sure they're on a LC wet food schedule is most beneficial. If your DH can keep that up, I think he'll be fine, no drama.
Hope you have a good trip, and it's at least somewhat relaxing.
