Without an automatic feeder, I can’t give a snack in the day Time at exactly +9, it is almost always +9.5 if I am working during the day. And at night I leave her some food out. I’m sorry but are people waking up in the wee hours of the night to feed their cats? I don’t think that’s going to work for us

It's only for a few days to see if that brings down her AMPS. You could try it for 2-3 days and if it doesn't work, we could look at a dose increase.

I’m willing to try pretty much anything but my boyfriend will lose it if I start setting alarms for 3am :nailbiting:. I’m going away for a night on Saturday so he will be in charge. I’m not going to ask him to do that, he’ll probably leave me lol. But next week I can trial that, sleep in the spare bed, whatever but i can’t do it the next few days

It’s not in the budget just yet. Honestly I spent nearly 4,000 on her in one month between supplies, trialing food, insulin, vet visits. We are still trying to pay that off. Once it is, timed feeders are first on the list. But we have four cats so it won’t be at once

Ok. We understand budget restraints and we don’t want to cause problems with your boyfriend.
Apart from 2 of the BGs all the blue numbers are within a couple of points of being greens.
+9.5 is fine to give the snack.

He’s not like aggressive or anything I don’t want you to get the wrong idea lol. But he thinks im already obsessive

I never thought for a moment he was aggressive. Lots of family members think we are a bit obsessive with testing so that is not unusual. It can be hard when we have to test at night or get up for whatever reason. I get that.

It’s certainly tough, but we have really come so far in three short months so he does see that it’s worth it. But he’s not willing to go to the same lengths as me lol
