Went to doctor today. Got blood drawn for cbc, Acro, IAA, and renal panel. Also got urinalysis. Waiting on Acro results before setting cardiologist Appt. However, I did call a cardiologist. Will be tough to get in quickly, so we’ll have to see what happens if we need to go that direction. Do you know how long MSU takes for Acro results? I don’t recall from last time we had him tested (July 2021).

George’s BG: How do I prevent these massive bounces? Do you think he needs R at +6 every time? Or what are your thoughts?

Lantus: tonight, it’s been 6 cycles of 6 L. 6.5 tomorrow morning given that he’s dipping down to the 200s now?

As his body gets used to lower numbers the bouncing will reduce. Already you are seeing fewer blacks and reds than 10 days back.

I think you can go up to 6.5U tomorrow morning but @Wendy&Neko will confirm that and also the R dosing.

The IGF-1 test is run just one day a week at MSU, Wednesdays. So the blood has to be there by Tuesday, or you wait until the following week's run. It's an overnight test and results are usually sent out on the Friday. Like me, looks like you'll get to wait an extra week.

Agreed on the increase to 6.5U of Lantus. As for R, take a look at how the R has been doing. Yesterday, the 0.5 units in the AM took him down 77 points in the 4 hours after the shot. That's not bad, you want under 100. In the PM however, the 1 unit R took him down 150 in four hours. That's too much. Those big drops can cause bounces. But this morning it was just about right. I might try a revised R scale. 1 unit if over 450, otherwise 0.5 u R. He doesn't need R at mid cycle all the time. For example yesterday AM he did just fine without it. He's zooming up at the end of the cycle cause of not enough duration. That will get better as he gets closer to a better dose.

How is George feeling/acting? As they closer to a better dose, they seem to start feeling/acting better.
