So Lantus is really surprising me here. Take a look at our recent numbers:

8/16 8pm: 330 (Just found out he was off honeymoon- no insulin in 6 years)

8/18 8pm: 274 shot .5u Lantus

8/19 8am: 28 NO SHOT

2:30pm 111

I'm guessing I should wait until 8pm and test again... also going to shoot .25u next time. What number should I be above to feel comfortable shooing .25 Lantus in him? He dropped so far with the .5!

I would hold off unless Sparky is above 200.

When I looked at your initial posting on Health, people were recommending a full blood panel for Sparky. Likewise, you noted he has bad breath. Have you been able to take him in to the vet to get all of this checked out? I'm wondering whether teeth may be the cause of the higher numbers. Given the drop yesterday, the elevated BG may be the result of an infection or an inflammation. I really think he needs a vet visit.
