Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Monday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug want to make their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! I have to admit that they are pretty good! They finally learned to keep the cheery cherry whip on the pies, and stop squirting it all over the kitchen. They are no longer pink!... not like last week, and the week before, and the week before that.  I tolds them that LL kitties do not like PINK. so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!AND!!!! We gots an extra special treat for today: CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. I did go hiking, to MT Rainier, to a hike that I had not done before. It proved to be wroth the 2.5 - 3 hours that it took to drive there.  I think too that it would be a very good on for Nicholas and his family. I will have to make sure that they give it a try. There is all in all, not too much elevation gain, some lakes for Nicholas, and some very nice views of t Rainer. Here' is what I posted last night about the hike/day: "Hi everyone. I hope your Sunday has been a good one. I went hiking today at Mt Rainier. it seemed to have the best weather, with no clouds indicated on TWC. So.... took a chance and headed there. I was a little "oh NO!" when I got to the Enumclaw area and it was cloudy. Sure was nice to see that after another 45 miles the skies were blue, the sun was out, and not one cloud on Mt Rainier. Rainier is known for its "cloud cap". Often one can only see a part of the mountain as the rest is under a cloud cover. not today! WOOT!   So ............ today's weather seemed to dictate a trip to Mt Rainier. That, and the fact that SR 20 and Cascade Pass Road are still closed. So..... Off to Rainier and the Naches Peak Loop Trail. I chose this hike only because I had never done it before, have heard it was outstanding, and worth the drive. AND: IT WAS! I'd go back again, no doubt. The views and the small lakes found there were just exceptional. On the way home from Naches Peak I decided to stop in at the White River CG, and see the Emmons Glacier, via The Emmons Moraine Trail. WOW!,and AMAZING!,and AWESOME! It sure was worth the stop. Seeing those glaciers in action is such a treat. I think I did about 8 miles today, maybe climbed 1500 feet all totaled. Not too bad.... ;-)" Picassa links: Naches Peak Loop Trail, Tipsoo Lakes and Emmons Moraine and Glacier

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!! The welcoming committed came through for me again yesterday. I so love that: to be greeted when I get home. Only Bug was on the steps, but the minute I closed the door Lola and Elsa made the mad dash to say "Hey! Mom's home!!" I asked the two late arrivals if I need to get a blood oath, addressing tardiness, from them if they be late to meet me? They said NO WAY, that only applied to Human tardiness, never kitteh tardiness. hmmmmm.... I dunno about that. It seems that they were good kitties while I was gone. Elsa enjoyed the day outside, and is all recovered from her vetty ordeal. Bug seems to have spent the day surveying the yard from his perch on the window sill. Lola seems to have slept the day away.  I did come home to NO MESSES!       however..... I went to shower and remove trail dirt and when done found: one box with it's side chewed off, one Kleenex box with several tissue removed and shredded, and one uprooted rooting plant that was in a glass of water trying to grow. LOLA!!!!! Plus, while I was in the shower she spent some of that time pounding on the door, rapidly, with her front paws.    I so love that kitty! never ever a dull moment with Lola.

Have a great day everyone. I hope to hike again today, we shall see how I feel about that in a few hours, and also on how the weather is shaping up. They keep saying sun, but well, who knows here.I will hopefully be out the door once I post this. Paws crossed anyways. I hope to be off to the Mt Baker area today I think to the hike at Park Butte that I had to abort a few weeks ago. we shall see..... ;-)

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!!

Hmmm... maybe Lola's crazy antics are a way of saying, "I love you, mama!" If that's the case, you are soooooo loved by this kitty, Michelle!
You're very loved by all of your kitties, of course, but Lola seems to have her own language. Sweet girl.
Your day at Mt. Rainier seemed wonderful.
Whenever I think of that name, I'm reminded of a Rainier Beer commercial from my youth
Good luck with your hike today!
Enjoy!

Morning Michelle,
wow on your pictures. It looks so majestic, strong and serene!! I'm sure you loved every minute of that hike. And the long drive was totally worth it.. Easy for me to say, All i had to do was open the link.
I wonder if Lola uprooted the plant before or after she couldn't get in the shower with you. Or...maybe she was telling you "MOM... quick... the plant monster is IN THE HOUSE!! iI's gonna make messes with the plants, and i'm gonna get blamed. Hurry Mom... come and catch the monster!!

Yay Elsa, lil BIT!! Cheery Cherry Monday with cheesecake. Does it get better than this? I don't think so! I hear your door opening.. .. Exchanging scritches for mochas.. xoxo auntiemary

Elsa, Guess what?? Rusty's beans are leaving for the day. He's just hanging out so whaddya say all the kittehs come play at the treehouse, zoom on the ziplines and bake some cookies? i'm inviting myself and all the kittehs to the treehouse.. That's ok? Right? I'll help you finish deliveries and let's get to playing!! xoxo ollie

Hi Michelle, we are back! Nice to see you enjoying the hike while Ella enjoying her paddling on LL! Have a nice day & have fun!

Hey Lil Bit Pit - Woo Hoo! It's Cheery Cherry Day! We loves to be cheery! Well I do most of the time. Sometimes I like to be cranky, do you think we can have a Cranky Cherry Day sometime? It could be lots of fun, we can all run around and say cranky, cranky, cranky pants!

Oh and that reminds me, we can put the two little uns in cranky pants and see what trouble they get into! I think it can be tons of fun.

did you see, Ollie got a new bus! It even has a kitchen and pizza oven in it. We are going to have a huge party in the bus! I am all excited. So, while you, Rusty and Ollie make cookies, we can start planning our Bus Party! You know how I love parties!

Signed Maui the Magnificent, Party girl extraordinaire

Awesome pics as usual :-D Lola does keep you entertained  And only a small mess to come home to
Have a great hike if you decide to go and enjoy your beautiful weather :-D

So I have to tell you this.... I was in a new, upscale pet store this weekend and I saw a 'nanner so of course I said out loud, "Oh look, it's a Mannie-Nanner!" The young salesperson looked at me strangely and walked away. I didn't care - I found a nanner. I had never seen one before except in Mannie's tributes.

Well of course I bought it and took it home to my civvies and sugarfoster and told them about Mannie and his antics that I had read about here and gave it to them in honor of Mannie. Yes, there was a ceremony. They took turns soaking their Mannie-Nanner and clearly, it is their favorite, all-time, toy. I find it everywhere... steps, kitchen, patio, BED...

They know that this is not just any toy- but it is a Mannie-Nanner and they are happy to have this in his honor!!!

I enjoy reading your "Loose Lips"

Those pictures are so beautiful. That's so funny on the late kitties to the welcoming committee. Lola sure does keep things interesting.

Hi Michelle,
I really enjoyed seeing your fabulous pics of Rainier and the glaciers and lakes. That hike must have been so much fun! When I was at the U of W. I loved it when we could see Mt. Rainier from the campus. That happened about 4 times in the two years I was there--the rest of the time it was in cloud/rain!!

I hope you had a good hike today, too. It's great that the welcoming committee is always there when you get home.

Thanks, Elsa, for that great ~O) . We took it in our thermos on the paddle.

Have a great evening,

Ella & Rusty

Wow...what a fabulous hike! And you really, really sound like you enjoyed it - that is so great to hear. Maybe Lola would like to to hiking with you??? Just a thought  ! Don't tell my civvie Frankie about that shower door thing...it's bad enough she does it to the bedroom door  !

Have a great night, Michelle!!

Wow, Mt Ranier, just beautiful :-D Definitely worth the drive.

I can see Lola pounding on the door - My Simon is very fast with his front paws also! Sounds like someone trying to break in! :-D :-D

So, I am not completely sure what a nanner is? I should have asked long ago - I know it is a toy. Is it one like a banana?

Jane

Hi everyone! I hope you day has been a good one. Mine has been interesting to say the least... It was a hike day, off to park Butte at Mt Baker. We made 75 here, a sunny skies m great day in Edmonds. I wish I could say the same about Mt Baker. Weather dude for Mt Baker speaks with forked tongue... no way did they get that sun, or that 65/70. more like 50, foggy, and rainy. I made the lookout, after climbing my 1800 feet, all in a bank of fog, and then the rains started. I made topside dripping wet. I don't think I have ever been that wet on a hike. LOL: you couldn't see a bloody thing. It would have been great if I could have seen any of it. HAHA. About this point the thunder started, so I made my exit. Never did get any lightning, just a few ka-booms, with some rumbles. FUN!!! Well anyways, climbed down on wet rocks, soggy trails, but still had a great time. What I could see was very nice. I can only imagine hoe great the views would have been. I did about 9.5 miles today. Not too bad considering the conditions. Of course once I get back to the trail head, the sun starts to shine, you gotta love it.So only one thing to do: opened the windows, put on some music, cranked it up, got out the munchies, and had a great drive home. I will post the Picassa link in tomorrows Loose Lips condo.

Thanks everyone for the visits today! Forgive me for not answering each individually. I am mega tired after today's adventure, and FB is giving me such issues with the photo uploads from today. Such a hassle! Thanks everyone for the comments on the photos from Rainier yesterday. it really was a great day, with two fabulous hikes. Both were short, but no matter! The views were so so nice! I was so elated that I could see Rainier - all too often it is hidden by clouds. To have it out like that was so cool.
Amy - good idea! I'll get a harness and off we go! it might take care of some of that energy,. well.... maybe not. she'd escape from it, I have no doubt.
Robin - AWESOME!!! I am so taken back by that. Mannie would be so honored! Thanks you ever so much for sharing. I am so happy that your kitties like them too. Best darn cat toy ever. You have just made my day.
Jane - COOL! Another pounder! it does sound like that doesn't it. A nanner is a cat nip toy made by Yeowsi (SP?) that is shaped like a banana, called a nanner. It is the best catnip toy I have ever bought my cats. Mannie LOVED them, hoarded them as a matter of fact. Amazon sells them as well as some pet stores.
Helen - good to hear from you!!!!
Mary - LOL on Lola, I LIKE your theory! Could be.... :)!!! That makes me laugh.
Josie - There are times when I now you are right,. She knows she is loved, and tells me every morning when she comes to sit on my lap while I work on the PC/LL/Condo. THX for all you wrote.

Ollie! DUDE! That is so MEGA COOL! Let's do it! the treehouse is ready willing and able. it misses having kitties in it. Mannie will be so excited to have it being used. Come on over! Zip lines are ready, and the ovens are heating up. ~~ Elsa

Maui! GF! huh? how can one be cranky and cheery at the same time? I dunno! hmmmmmm.... let me ponder on this a little. I'd rather be cheery! heeheheee on the cranky, cranky, cranky pants! Cool on Ollie's bus! WOOT !! A bus party! mega cool. We gots to take it for some wheelies! ~~Elsa, always ready to party.
