Good Morning World! Yesterday

AMPS 156

Oh a BLUE boy already this morning after that YUCKY bounce and pink PMPS last night. I only left out zero carb food to give that juice a chance to eat some extra sugar - looks like it worked! He's feeling really good but the morning's 'aroma therapy' curled half the wallpaper throughout the whole house!

Leo has MUSCLES! Today when I picked him up, I felt real muscle definition and a itty bitty bit of pudgy belly! He's gained almost 2 pounds in the 3 weeks he's been here - wait, 4 weeks today! He was SO thin and so 'stringy' rather than anything feeling strong. I just LOVE it when we get new babies and they respond so well to good food, love and care.

HAPPY COME HOME DAY to Sasha and Lacey (GA)! We're celebrating having our wonderful 10 years we had with Lacey today too. I still miss her terribly, she's been gone a month now. Sasha's been here for 2 years now! Sassy joined us May 28th but we left Sasha with the person that found them in the field thinking she needed time by herself away from 'Miss Bossy' Sassy. Sassy is a DEFINITE ALPHA and constantly bit at tiny Sasha, pushed her around, ran her away from food, etc. Little did we know that the person was feeding her dry BIG dog kibble and hot dogs - nothing that a tiny 2 pound puppy could truly use to 'grow'. When we got her, we were afraid we would break her because she was SO tiny and still fairly weak. She was the runt AND just a tiny thing. NOW she's full of spunk, fire and NOISE! She still only weighs 11 pounds fully grown but is all muscles and smiles. Here's a picture when she arrived:

Grams, Schniggles is going in for minor surgery next week - that weed stalk is STILL in her nose and won't wash out. They're going to sedate her a bit and see if her nose muscles will relax enough to get it out. She's sneezing her poor little head off and breaking blood vessels about half the time. They wanted to send us to another vet but they charge $450 just to start the surgery - anything that happens will add cost to that...even if she just needs an extra shot for pain or anything. If I leave her overnight, it's another $154 - needless to say that's not going to happen. We'll see how it works out next week.

Hugs to all that visit today! CONGRATS to BJ getting into vet school - she's SO perfect for it!!! It's going to be a 'trim' day for me - detail detail detail....

Poor little pugsly, it must be driving her demented having something stuck in her nose! Your family is an ever evolving thing, so sad when one goes (RIP Lacey) but such a joy to be able to help out the new ones. I've lost track of how many you're up to now...

Hope you're having a great day
