ETA: Not too many people opened this thread, so I changed the subject line to let you know there's a photo of Bastian here.

AM report---> I am now using the Maxima AST meter on Bastian. Yesterday, I found the Advantage too unreliable, or at least the expired strips were unreliable. The manufacturer had said that the strips would be good for a year past expiry, but I got 2 very different number at the same time from the strips, so I moved onto the meter I use on Ennis, and which always tests very close to the OTU.
Bastian had a little dustup with my very small (8 lbs) bullet kitten last night. First Bastian tried to approach her nightly snack plate, and she did some hissing. (Bastian lives to eat.) Then after snacks, while Bastian was lounging on the family room floor, Nellie did one of her flying cat demonstrations over his head. He stumbled up the steps, he couldn't move fast enough to get away from her.
This morning he came around for exercise time, when I run the cats with pole toys and the laser light. Bastian displayed some interest in his toy, but he was keeping a wary eye on Nellie.
A picture of Bastian from yesterday, in one of his favorite spots.
PS. Bastian is available for adoption.
