Argh. Number creep, Miss Polly. Looks like an increase at PM today. 8.5 has been pretty good for us; let's hope 9.0 is as good or better.

Just a heads up for the experienced dosers here. I will be gone this coming Thursday pm, Friday a.m., p.m., and Saturday a.m. A quick trip to the Minneapolis area for a milestone class reunion. My pet sitter will shoot, but noway will Polly let someone she doesn't know well test her. Shooting will probably be a snatch and grab, scruff and shoot as it is!

If anyone's around Wednesday to offer advice on dosing for the four cycles I'll be gone, I sure would appreciate it. Will be asking for help on Wednesday afternoon.

EDIT: Wendy, at my plus 2 posting, I saw your suggestion about increasing Polly's dose. Thank you. Tonight she goes up!

Polly's blushing! She was a luxurious, beautiful cat in her prime. Sort of a dilute torti point long hair Siamese mix. Age and acro have taken a toll on her looks, but not her spirit!

I grew up in the Twin Cities area. Stillwater, Eau Claire WI, Ellsworth WI. Undergrad college at River Falls. Family members still live in Maplewood, Bloomington, Mound, and other more northern suburbs. High School reunion near Ellsworth, WI. About 35 miles from the airport.

Hope Skooter treats you well today. Sunday naps are the best!

Hey Polly - how are you going to respond to that dosecrease threat?

Marilyn - just put something in your subject line on Wednesday about looking for vacation dose and we'll stop in with suggestions. Has your petsitter given shots before? It's a good idea to leave a sample syringe loaded with colored liquid so the petsitter gets the right dose. The one good thing about acromegaly is they are more tolerant to changes there. And you may find after SRT that Polly gets back some of her good looks. At some point after SRT Polly will start going the other direction in dosing, she'll get better regulated and her fur will be lovely again.

Has your petsitter given shots before?

Yes, Pat, who's been my pet sitter for five years or so, has a petting sitting business and does insulin injections for clients. She's also had two diabetic cats of her own. Tomorrow morning she's coming over to go through a practice session with Polly, who will be her Garbo-esk recluse. She and Boomer, her boy-bud, will be closed in the cat-room with access to the enclosure, where they spend most of their time anyway. Nothing to hide behind or under.

Good idea about the colored water in a comparison syringe. I'm also leaving my +3 magnifying glasses!

I was reading Polly's profile, you are one patient bean! Have a great trip to Minnesota. That's great that you have a pet sitter who can handle shots. That's funny that Flagstaff weather comes to your neck of the woods. We watch LA weather to see what we might get, at least with storms in the winter.

ETA: I had multiple generations come over, beginning with a great-great-great grandfather. Some Scotch-Irish in there too but the German is amazingly strong, even after all those generations. Probably because they stayed in central Illinois with lots of other a German-Americans.
