Last reading 196 fed 1.5oz ff classic tukey and gave 1.25u
Not sure why but he did not eat his +7 meal last night. I think he was sleeping...

Are you all stocked up on medium or high carb food, just in case? If he decides to take a dip, the awesome folks here can help walk you through it.

I have some remaining canned RX Science Diet MD and some dry Science Diet High Fiber food (WD, I think). Will either of those work?

Not the dry...but I think the wet M/D is 13%?

That's a decent drop by +3. Even if it's not a "busy" cycle, those are lovely numbers.

You may want to see about stocking up on some high carb food. You want foods that are above 15% carb. Most people will use Fancy Feast in the roasted, marinated, grilled or Gravy Lovers varieties. They are listed on Janet & Binky's list.

We avoid dry food because it takes a very long time for it to work and if you are trying to steer numbers back up, you want something that works more quickly. In addition, it takes just as long for the effects to wear off. Gravy-type food is in and out relatively quickly.

Ok. Need to make run to store again anyway. Believe it or not, Walmart was out of Ketosticks yesterday.
I'm just thankful he wasn't at 400+ this morning. :shock: Hoping for no bounces this afternoon. When he was in the blue on ProZinc bounces happens.

The Gravy Lovers is good because you can use just the liquid if he decides to dive. That way he won't get too full, in case it takes some time to get him back up again. I have a little mesh strainer that I used to separate the gravy. I would just put the strainer over a little bowl and mush the liquid thru it. You can dole the gravy out a teaspoon or so at a time.

If he bounces, do NOT fret about it. If it is expected, it's not a bad thing, and it will clear out on its own.

Just found some canned Science Diet w/d. BInky's list shows this at 26 %Kcal from carbs. Will that suffice this afternoon for high carb food? Have a work project to complete.

+5 = 205; probably due to 1/2 can FF Classic Turkey eaten at +3.5 to +4. Still below 300 which is a good thing for me.

He ate a little a very small amount of his +7 meal of 1/2 can ff classic turkey and went to bed.

Hope the insulin is doing what it is supposed to.

Still trying to adjust to u100 needles. Hoping shot wasn't fur shot. Removed needle and i guess the side of my hand was damp. I felt moisture on my hand it didn't smell and kitty didn't smell like plastic. Perhaps moisture came from insulin bottle. I guess I will find out soon enough. If fur shot, dang it.....

Great job, Shannan! Jean Luc is probably bouncing from those blues this morning since he hasn't seen those numbers very much. Put on your patience pants because the bounce can last up to 72 hours.
