Zener's had a bit of a rough start this morning. Nothing had been eaten out of the automatic feeder overnight and I thought "Uh oh, could be a scarf-and-barf", which it was. :sad: After close inspection of the barf, I gave him his meds again since he didn't absorb anything of the first round. Then I fed him in little bits and he's kept that down fine. I ended up stalling for 45 mins. His appy is ok but he seems a little punk. Poor guy.

Thank you to the suggestions on the pine sap removal a few weeks ago. He had a big chunk between his toes yesterday so we put some butter on it and it started to break up pretty quickly. Wow! That was fabulous. It's completely gone now. Yay! :-D

In LL news, Gabby is happily splashing in the lagoon this morning and she didn't dive in there either. Checks, Jasper, BJ and Rhiannon's Shadow are too. :mrgreen: Maggie is a bit high and still having poo issues. Rupert is back to his dive-bounce routine, which amuses no one. :-x Uh, Mannie, what are you doing in the stinky pinkys? Happy Fursday LL!

Morning Liz, oh poor Zener, sorry about the scarf-and-barf. That would make him feel punk for sure, but glad he kept his meds and food down. Sending him some feel better vines and hope it passes quickly. Amazing what a little butter will do on things like pine sap removal! I learn things everyday here. Nice newsletter as always. Thanks for reporting on Mags. She said to tell Inspector Poo and Inspector Crapdash she's trying! :-D Have a nice day.

Despite the early am scarf and barf and some upset tummy at the beginning of the cycle, Zener rallied to eat okay this cycle and his numbers have been hanging in mid blue. He's been resting comfortably inside most of the day. We've been having thundershowers so no one wants out. :smile:

@Helen - the butter disolved the pine sap and we could wipe most of it off. I didn't see him licking but he may have.

@Ann & Maggie - he usually eats a little overnight in his auto feeder but hadn't last night, so a perfect set up for scarf and barf. He seems to be feeling better this afternoon. We asked in Zener's condo not long ago about how to get pine sap off and received lots of suggestions with butter or olive oil at the top of the list. Worked like a charm for us. Paws crossed Ms Mags will have some actions soon!

@Pip - perhaps it was all the partying that did the big guy in. Or...he's a cat!

@Carla - thanks for the feeling better wishes!

We will be getting started on our PM routine soon, so paws crossed his appy is good tonight.

Hi guys,
I'll have to try butter on the pine tar on Edward's shorts. I've washed them twice, but the stains remain. It's probably too late, but worth a try.

Zener, we're glad you're feeling a lot better this evening. Rusty didn't feel much like eating this morning, either. I think it was too much party food last night!

I hope Zener is feeling better....poor boy!!!! Hopefully, since it was just a scarf and barf, he's put it behind him! I predict a slllliiiiddddeeeee into PMPS!!

Hi Liz & Anne,

I'm sorry that Zener wasn't feeling well today. I'm glad he feels better tonight and continues to eat his food. Racci has been off her food too but finally ate well for her dinner tonight. They must have partied too much at Karre's party last night. It seems there are a few of our kittie friends that had tummy problems today.

@Ella - we learned about butter here in LL! It sort of melted the pine tar, made it more liquid, and then Liz could get it off. Zener is feeling much better this evening! :-D

@Marje - maybe Liz can be the Princess Borg, aka HRH The Princess Borg. ;-) His appy was back to his normal this evening. No slide into PMPS, but there's always the PM cycle. :twisted: Syringes mailed today, and should arrive Fri or Sat. So says the USPS.

@Melanie - we hope Racci is eating better soon too. It is such a worry when they won't eat. Back to back OTJ parties must have been too much for their delicate constitutions! :lol:

Zener hopped up on his feed/test/shoot foot stool at his usual time tonight and was very disappointed we had to wait. Liz had to shoot late this morning because of the scarf and barf and needing to be sure he would eat enough for his shot. His appy was good at shot time and he seems to be much perkier this evening. He was totally disgusted by the rain, interrupting his evening patrol and time on his backyard bench.

We are wishing good appy to all kitties in LL this Fursday evening.

aw, poor zener. i hope his tummy stays settled and he eats with VIGOR the rest of tonight. perhaps they did eat too much at the OTJ party! :lol: we can be suspicious! he's had pretty good numbers today in spite of his tummy troubles.

Now, we know it wasn't the great goodies at Karre's OTJ party. I sense some fuzzy mischief over at the punch bowl. Spiked?????
