BLECH! I was so dreading doing her +2 this morning. I do believe my patience pants have already worn through; I'll be running out at some point today to get some BG. I keep trying to do 100% Wellness, and keep getting the same results, so it's back to the 50/50 mix of Wellness and BG. No doubt, if this is anything like my last attempt, it will take us a while (and possibly a few increases) to get her back where she belongs.

I swear, never again with the 100% Wellness - and if anyone here hears me say anything different, please smack some sense into me!!!

Have a great day, all!

Amy

I will wait patiently until you say something different to smack you k?

Miss T are you listening to your bean??, she is threatening herself with a smack down! Now, come back down k? Like now?

Re: 8/16 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 159

I have filed that into memory! Smack Amy if she mentions wellness. You might want to pick up some new patience pants while you are out!

Trixie what are you doing to your bean???

Re: 8/16 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 159

Thank you guys! I do need your support to keep me on track here  !

It's the 100% Wellness that seems to be an issue, so I am allowed to mention Wellness mixed with other foods, just not "I decided to switch back to 100% Wellness yet again!". While you have permission to smack me, I just want to be sure that it's not in excess   !

Re: 8/16 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 159

Now you are changing the rules on us! OK. We will only smack you on the 100% wellness mention. It wouldn't hurt anyway. I smack like a girl.

rubs hands in anticipation of smacking Amy if needed

Trixie will recover and go back into those lovely numbers you crave.

Re: 8/16 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 159

Hi Amy, I'm still half asleep, but is it the Wellness spiking her bg? I know the Turkey Wellness causes a spike in Maggie, but the chicken is good with her, if she would eat it. What is BG food? Hope she comes down into more normal Amy numbers. Have a nice day.

Re: 8/16 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 159 +4 130

Ann - For Trix, it's the Wellness chicken that drives up her numbers. I've never tried the turkey. "BG" is Merrick's Before Grain. I know the BG gives her good BGs, but Trix has mixed emotions about it as far as taste goes. But she tolerates it if I do a 50/50 mix of the Wellness and BG. Earlier this week, though, she started rebelling against the mix, and since I knew she loves the Wellness, I figured I'd give it a go without mixing in the BG, once again. And, once again, up go her numbers. Since I think this is about the 3rd time I've tried this little experiment, I'm convinced that Wellness by itself just isn't great for Trix.

I also gave EVO another whirl. Last night, she had an EVO snack and absolutely inhaled it. When I tried giving it to her for breakfast, she gave me "the look" and walked away. Gotta love it.

Hi guys .. sorry to see trixie up this morning .. at least at her +4 she started to come back down .. hopefully once you change the food it won't take long for her to come back down .. have a great day!

Hi Amy,
Thanks for explaining about the bg - Merrick. That is so interesting how the different foods will raise our kitties' bg's. Maggie likes FF Chicken Feast, but it seems to cause a small spike. Right now I'm going to experiment with Wellness and Merrick. I also have to check out Evo. Have a nice day.

...and the blechiness continues. Back to the mix with tonight's dinner...

Re: 8/16 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 159 +4 130 PMPS 173 +2 118 +4 10

Champ refuses to eat Wellness anymore and even some of the FF flavors. I've started feeding him foods I normally wouldn't, like 9-lives and Friskies, just because he'll eat it. He's always gotten bored with his food, though, so this isn't anything new. It's just a pain in the rear!!!
