Well, my homecoming was a bit strange today. Shasta was very strange when I got home. Acting very paranoid, especially when walking past the AC vent. VERY WEIRD! We did just have a horrible storm...massive lightning/thunder. Don't know if that freaked her out?! :YMSIGH:
The first time I poked for PMPS it was 370  I retested and got 324...not much better, but I'll take it over 370!
I tried her with Wellness Chicken & Herring (1.5 oz of the 3 oz can)...she ate it all!!!! She's now resting on the couch next to me.
Yay Shasta for eating yer fuds! Maybe some monster peaked its head out of the ac vent during the storm? Is she calmer now? Tillie the civie often looks at me like she doesn't know who I am and I say "You know me. I live here." and she says "Oh right."  That's a pretty big drop at +1. What is on your agenda, Shasta?

ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile Deborah!!! You DO have a snotty cat    She keeps you up at night even though you have to work the next day!!
Actually.....it's probably a great thing that she comes down at night and bounces up in the morning. I think with that +2 tonight, you're gonna see some more action out of that girl.
I don't think there is an endless supply of snotty cat photos but Mike loves that term and now all of ours have become snotty cats...except Gus
She's calmer now, but every time she walks by the ac vent, she skulks and stares angrily!
She's been having huge drops lately and it makes me wonder if I'm screwing up the dosing because of the new syringes?! :-x Of course, as always, I fear that she dips low while I'm at school, but I'll never know...only her night numbers. I told my advanced class about her because they meet right after lunch, when I'm at my "I need a nap" time and one of my students came in to tell me that after she told her mom last night, her mom said she'd stop by during the day and check on her and feed her and love on her!!!! So sweet!!!!! If only my cat would let her.
During the day, she is using the autofeeder. I just reprogrammed it to add a few more times. I now have it cycling at +2 (4-6%), +3 (4-6%), +4 (4-6%), +6 (2%), and +8 (a few PureBite treats to tide her over). I'm hoping that by adding more cycles it will wake her up more often and make her want to eat/nibble/graze more often.
I'm sure she won't eat all of the little portions, but even if she nibbles a little here and there, that's got to be better than not! We'll see if it actually works! Fingers, paws, and hooves crossed!
