WOW, and what a ride yesterday - A green cycle for most of the day, following a green cycle the night before. :-D One happy kitty, one happy bean. I had a show to attend last night, and decided to feed Mannie HC to keep his levels up while I was gone - once I saw his +2.5 was on the way down. DH fed HC on the half hour mark, until I made it home - we ended up with a 165. perhaps I could have gotten away with just MC ? anyways - we are pink this morning - a 360. :YMSIGH: I hope Mannie can find the lower floors this morning.

He's in good spirits again this morning, despite what has been very hot days here in the PNW. We topped out at 96 yesterday, with another hot one set for today - very warm for us. Mannie is good about finding the cool spots - loves the patio, especially after I've watered the plants and he can lay in pools of water. Breffis #1, and #2 eaten, yard patrolled from his window perch. purrs and cuddles taken and given. A good start for today.

96 degrees--yes, that is HOT! We're in the low 60s this morning with murk. I'm tired of the murk! Mannie and Stu are neck in neck this morning, enjoying the newly decorated pink floor. Let's hope they get down soon. Stay cool, and we'll see you later,

Mine's up there too with Mannie, I hope they all come down today, and party in yellow , at least.
Try to stay cool, that is horrible heat.

On really hot days like this, I will take a cold wet washcloth and wipe down Podo a couple times during the day. She can't stand water touching her. But, I think the big washcloth makes her think of a big momma cat's tongue. :P

Works well on the bean's head too.

Hi ALL!

243 @ +4 - and down we go - this is good for a bit Mannie - you can surf this for a while, then maybe try for blue...

prediction is for cooler temps by the end of the week. YAY! Going to be another hot one today though. I like the wet cloth Brian - might give that a shot on my kitties. Hooray for big momma cat's tongues! They were all so warm yesterday - poor babies.

I think Sienne may be onto something - just what are they giving away on the pink floor?

Hey everybody! looks like we are yellow surfin' here today - so far anyways: a 237 @ +7.

And to Shad-O, and Moonie and Tess, and all my LL friends! : I soooooo loved my green surfin the past few days - it was just the best, and thanks to all my friends that believed in me and kept telling me that I could do it. You guys are the BEST! I am yellow today - resting a little from all the green work - phew! Hey Moonie: I KNOW - my bean disappears too - I never can figure out where she goes??? it's just weird. She says be good and no diving and stuff, but wow she's gone and I get scared so i don't dive, ya know? :shock: And Tess - Sure! Let's surf - I am still yellow, but I can bring my rainbow board and we can help Stu - I HATE that grooming stuff - my bean complains about all my fur and the mats and the hairballs - sheshhhhh, just deal, ya know? cat(2)_steam I too heard he was green already - cool! Nice yellow surf you've got going there Mannie! Now stay right there, or even come down a little. We don't want to wear you out too much with more greens, but some blues would be nice!

196 @ PMPS - nice job Mannie!! A slow descent today from the land of the pink and ugly pink floor renovations, to a nice blue. I hope he surfs this... And since today Mannie has been going down all day long I think I will get a +1, just to be sure he hasn't decided diving would be a good nighttime activity.

Hi Michelle, Thanks for your encouraging words. A fine bottle of wine would be nice right now. We have some good ones, but, alas, no fine ones! We also still have some bottles left that we made in 2003 in the basement of our turn-of-the-century Brooklyn co-op from California grapes we bought in the Brooklyn Terminal Market. The house next door had a wine press dated 1905 and we used that. The wine is a cabernet-merlot and it is still pretty good!

Ella! That sounds divine! The process used to make it is just so fun - makes the wine even more special. I love the thought. My mother was from Brooklyn, my grandmother too, though she eventually settled in Queens, brief stay in Ridgemont ( I think it was ridgemont - ridge-something). My son-in-law has started to make his own wine. Not too bad for a beginner. :lol: :lol: and listen to me - as if I'm any sort of a wine expert.... not really.

Ridgewood, an old German neighborhood in Queens. Still has some good German restaurants. Great numbers tonight, Mannie! (Stu has bounced, but hopes he can surf with you and the gang tomorrow and get off that pink floor--what a place to have to spend the night!!)

Ridgewood - THAT'S IT! Funny - I remember a few of the restaurants, and especially the local neighborhood butchers. It has been years since I have been there - I can remember sitting on the stoop - and the humidity. omg. and hero sandwiches - do they still make those? and the pizza by the slice pizzerias: those were so cool to me, cuz we could not get pizza like that at home (never by the slice), and the 2" deep dish OMG! wow - a trip down memory lane tonight...

Moonie - that is so cool- i so want to surf on the blue beach. i hope i can stay blue.... I like these numbers - they feel really cool - i hope I never go to the pink floor again! (anti-jinx!) ~ Mannie

Stu - I am sorry you are sleeping on the pink floor - did you find my condo there? I spend so much time on that floor that I bought one, and it is all furnished with really cool stuff - i hope the recent renovations didn't trash my stuff. wow - but you can check it out if you want.
