Good luck with the feeder. We have one too and it took several attempts to get it ...just right.
I have now figured out if the tray doesn't sit down perfectly the lid doesn't close easily. If that's the case the feeder will attempt to rotate, but can't for some reason. So if the lid doesn't 'snap' on closing check the tray again. Literally sometimes it seems like just a jiggle to settle and seat the feeding tray properly. ohmygod_smile . It has been a blessing to have the feeder, but it just took a while to figure it out.
Enana, cool weather is headed your way soon. I'z sending you some.
Hi guys .. flat yellows for enana this morning .. I hope the feeder works out for you .. mocha took to it right away, but I think she is allergic to the plastic .. have a great day guys!
Natalia, good luck with the feeder. I couldn't live without it for Simon. On the other hand, Cleo has rarely been interested in it. Hope Enana decides that it is her new best friend!
Hi Natalia, sorry about the feeder not rotating, bummer! I have just a two plate setter Cat Mate, but so far I've been placing a dish on top the feeder plate, as I'm not used to timed feedings. Do you think it's a malfunction, and you can return it if so.
Well, I got confused with Glutten Free and Grain Free.
Wikipedia says "A gluten-free diet is a diet that excludes foods containing gluten. Gluten is a protein found in wheat (including kamut and spelt), barley, rye, malts and triticale. It is used as a food additive in the form of a flavoring, stabilizing or thickening agent, often as "dextrin"."
This is, I think, because other grains do not cause allergies. :?:
In my attempts to train Trixie to use the feeder, I'd put her next to it with food in the "hidden" compartment, then set it off and let her see the food appear. I thought she'd make the connection in no time, but no luck. However, maybe your guys will see the light if you try that approach??? My feeder is still sitting on the counter, rotating away with no one using it  ...
Bless Willie and his special little heart, I've never tried an auto-feeder as, well....    I just put food out on ice packs, though thankfully he's no longer a scarfer, so he'll eat an appropriate pace on his own.
What's with that +1, Miss Enana?? Back to yellow for you, Missy!
What is up with you Enana! Must be a food spike big time since she didn't eat all day maybe?? Hope she comes down gracefully as only Enana can do.
I have never tried an auto feeder. Tarragon is so skittish that he would probably hide under the bed and never eat again. Both of mine are good about eating small amounts at a time.
I am confused between gluten and grain free as well. I am pretty sure it isn't the food. He had the same thing on dry food. I am hoping that upping his inhaler will help. I am questioning his new bed though. I tried looking at it tonight and he was not happy with me. I think there would be a mutiny if I got rid of it.
Look at that drop!!! Lissten Natalia, it has been known in the annuls of Lantus land history, that certain cats have learned how to Break In to the auto feeders & steal the food!! They are of great help to many of us, but perhaps for you the 2 section one by Cat Mate would be better...If the rotation fails!
Many many of us here feed our kitties FF classics with No problems--The debate over FF flavors & some raising the bg slightly has also been around for years..Yet Moonie & many other cats eat it regularly with no problem. Some are a bit sensitive to some flavors.
You are such a good momma bean, loving & caring! Big Hugs to you & Enana from us!
