OMG I overslept an hour! :o  Some back up alarm i have  he decided to come and tell me what he thought of my sleeping in, boy oh boy did i get yelled at this morning. I told Leo "next time don't let me sleep so long!!!" So i hurried my butt up and got the test, shot and feed done in less than 10 minutes, it must be a new record of some sort  Now breffis is finished and a nap on the couch is in progress.

Day 5 of rabies watch is here!! All is excellent in LeoLand. He had an all green day yesterday, and last night we watched some fireworks together. The exhibition is on in the city and they have nightly fireworks, so i picked Leo up and we watched the show, he was pretty enthralled by it all and watched from start to finish, only when i said something to him did he kinda want to freak out a little. I wonder what he was thinking?

Re: 8/15 Leo AMPS 103 Day 5

Great start for Leo today!! This whole confinement thing is agreeing with him. He must like having your undivided attention. They always say that animals can't see colors, but I think they are wrong! He was probably just content for you to hold him and he could see the pretty sparkles.

Hope you have a wonderful day 5!!! Glad there are no signs of you know what and that you are off for awhile as well. If it was going to happen, it was good timing anyway.

Re: 8/15 Leo AMPS 103 Day 5

I'm so happy that all is excellent there. What lovely start!

I don't now what my kitties would think about fireworks, but I don't think it would be good...how fun to watch them with Leo!!

Have a great day, guys!

Re: 8/15 Leo AMPS 103 Day 5

I am glad that somebody else besides me does that oversleep thing  ... it always messes up the morning routine for Mannie... Kudos to you for getting it all done in 10 minutes!

Wow on the fireworks - sure didn't seem to bother Leo any... my civvies freak out when ever they even hear them, let alone see them Quite the guy you have there.

Nice amps btw Leo - keep those good numbers coming. Half way through quarantine... hang in there buddy!

Have a great day guys!

Re: 8/15 Leo AMPS 103 Day 5

i don't think my cats would mind fireworks if they didn't make so much noise. the sounds are what is so scary!

halfway through it! we're thinking about you and mr leo the lion hunter! no more bats after this, leo. stick with the mice!

Re: 8/15 Leo AMPS 103 Day 5

Only 5 more days to go, Leo!
How neat that Leo liked the fireworks. Could you hear them as well as see them from where you are? If so, mighty impressive, Leo!

Re: 8/15 Leo AMPS 103 Day 5

My goodness Tracy... after being away for a few days, I've just caught up on everything that is going on with you and Leo. Wow.
My heart goes out to you and your family for your grandmother (((Tracy))).
And I feel in my gut that Leo, the great hunter, is going to be just fine. Be tough Leo!

I did laugh at his 'attitude' when waking you up this morning! Hee, hee!

Re: 8/15 Leo PMPS 70 Day 5

Yes we could hear the fireworks as well as see them. Leo was watching pretty intently, funny that he wasn't scared of them.

We've had the flat cat reign today, he's been 70-ish all day!

I spoke to my brother the other day, he's a diabetic as well and he's always interested in hearing how Leo is doing, since they share a diabetes kinship of sorts  He told me there will be a diabetes walk here in September and that i should bring Leo, we laughed about it and he mentioned that i should get a tshirt made for Leo that says "i'm a survivor"  I've been seriously considering it, how cute would that be!!??? Leo on a diabetes walk??? In a tshirt???

Re: 8/15 Leo PMPS 70 Day 5

would he do it? i mean punkin would be heading for the hills at a walk like that! but if he would do it, i think that would be awesome. it would do people good to know that pets get diabetes and it can be managed. if he were too scared to walk, maybe you could put him in a cat carrier in a stroller or on a wagon. that might be a hoot - probably end up with his picture in the paper.

Re: 8/15 Leo PMPS 70 Day 5

Yeah i think he would do it, i don't think i could get him to actually do the walk, hmmm i could but i'm sure he would painfully slow  We could just go and hang out until they actually start walking. He's a pretty friendly cat, and no doubt it would raise awareness about FD. I'll have to look into it and see when it actually is and see if i'm home for it.

Re: 8/15 Leo PMPS 70 Day 5

I'm glad to hear Leo is doing just fine and enjoyed the fireworks!
I read something about a band from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan today and I thought - I've seen that place before somewhere!!! It's you. I'd never heard of it and when I saw it in your avitar I thought it sounded like a tongue twister.

Re: 8/15 Leo PMPS 70 Day 5

Hi Tracy, I'm so happy everything is going well with Leo and you. That would be so neat if you take Leo to the Diabetes walk just to cheer on your brother, and a tee shirt for Leo would be perfect. And you could take pics for us to see! Nice to hear Leo enjoyed the fireworks.

Re: 8/15 Leo PMPS 70, +2.5 50!!! Day 5

I think that Leo is trying to say: "I dont have rabies OR diabetes for that matter!!" YOhhoooooo

Re: 8/15 Leo PMPS 70, +2.5 50!!! Day 5

WAHOOO!!! A reduction for my kitty!!! I fell asleep on the couch watching tv and Leo came in to yell at me, so of course i tested him and he came in at 50, so he got some yum yum 18% gravy cause its been awhile since he's had a gravy treat and now we are out on the deck watching a deadly lightning show just rolling into Saskatoon.

It must have been the Sheepdogs that are on the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine, they are from Saskatoon and won some sort of contest. Is that what magazine you saw Traci?

Re: 8/15 Leo PMPS 70, +2.5 50!!! Day 5

Yeah, Leo, come up a little bit. The night is young and you don't want to wear out your mamabean. The t-shirt idea and the diabetes walk sounds terrific.

Please get the papoose thing to carry him in, or the baby carriage!! He's been exposed to enough...
Gotta keep him safe on any further jaunts!! Hugs & luv from us!
WOW on that 50!!!

Yes! That's it. THe weird thing is that I saw a picture of the cover in a different magazine that mentioned the contest.
Congrats on the reduction. Leo is so funny!
