Well another day of high PS. I guess I just need to go right back to 1.5u. I am so frustrated that I feel like I am not doing any good. I cant figure out why it is happening. Doogle has become so fussy about his food that he doesnt like FF anymore it seems and really doesnt like anything else. Not even fortiflora, parmessan or anything you put on it works. I feel like I am fighting a losing battle.

Re: 8/15 Doogle PMPS 523 Dosing questions

See high PS again. He ate little meals on and off all day from either his FF or the Friskies that the others eat. We didnt go low at all. Can I go ahead and move him to 1.5u tomorrow morning or should I go more? I dont want to run into a DKA situation again. I cant afford it. Since I lost my job in June we have been living off my IRA and what little unemployment I get.

Sorry just feeling a little frustrated, disappointed in myself and down at the moment.

Sorry it has taken a while for a response.

With his history, I wouldn't be fattening doses....I'd be giving a full .25u increase when you do increases. Because he was in the 30s on 1.25u, it probably would have been best to decrease by .25u to 1u. That way, if he failed the reduction, you could go back up to 1.25u.

It's best on increases to give them at least four cycles but considering his history, I'd go ahead and take him up to 1.25u tomorrow and then give him four cycles to see what he will do.

I'm sorry he isn't eating. Have you tried roasted chicken from the supermarket? Have you tried the Liver Shake for Cats?

Sending healing vines. Good luck with the increase.

Thank you Marje! I appreciate your advice and I will be taking him to the full 1.25u tomorrow morning. He is eating ok but just gotten so finicky on what he wants. One week all he wants is FF Chicken then the next you would think it was rancid. I know kids are fussy eaters but wow, this takes the cake. So take him up, wait 4 cycles and see how that goes.
Sorry I sounded so discouraging before.....one of those days where it falls into the wrong places at once.
