WCR: Doing a lot better! (antijinx) Fluids went well Friday night and also last night. I think he's been purring nonstop since getting his fluids last night. I didn't give any pepcid last night and haven't had to give him pain med since Thursday night. He was out with me and in his various spots by me most of yesterday and joined me in bed last night for awhile. Eating isn't 100% still, but there's been a few times he's actually "asked" for food. He's also occasionally making his way to his testing spot without me having to go find him or put him there. I haven't been testing much though this week though, aside from AM/PM preshots, since it was sending him into hiding for hours, so I gave him a break. I've noticed he's more wobbly, so I need to get some more methyl-b12. He's come a long way from the kitty my family and friends wanted me to put down 4.5 yrs ago when he was diagnosed with FD and in DKA (and even as recently as last Monday with his CP flare). Thanks to everyone for the continued prayers, thoughts, and support! You are all amazing!! :)

So happy to hear that Willow is doing better more healing vines that he keeps on the road to recovery :YMHUG: cat_pet_icon

Just curious why you would discontinue the pepcid so quickly?

So happy to hear he's perking up and asking for food. Go Willow!

Thanks Lisa.

Karrie, Sorry, I should've clarified. I didn't discontinue the pepcid, he will be getting it tonight and from this point on. I just wasn't home when it was due though and my mom doesn't feel comfortable with giving oral meds to him (or any of the cats... but especially him and I don't blame her). It was a big enough ordeal getting her comfortable with being able to just give him shots (she still won't fill a syringe or hometest because it makes her nervous and often says she's not sure if the shot went in :YMSIGH: ), but she does what she can and I'm grateful).

Ahhhhh so cool. Sorry if you thought I was second guessing you. I'd rather ask to open up dialogue just in case. I understand completely.

I am thrilled that she is starting to feel better.

This is good news. We hope Willow will continue to improve and are sending some beautiful vines.

Not at all, Karrie. I completely appreciate you asking!! And honestly, if I ever post something that seems questionable or like a dumb move in terms of Willow, I'd greatly appreciate the dialogue.

I'm so glad he's feeling better. What a relief!.
I don't have time (I'm too tired right now) to catch up with your posts, but will tomorrow.

Have a good night, you two..

He seems to be relapsing some tonight. I gave him his meds around 7 and went to my parents house for dinner. By the time I got home, he was in hiding and not wanting to do much. I gave his fluids and he's now back in his spot next to Mr. Printer, purring. He lost his other upper canine tonight (it broke off in the same place at the gumline that the other did - due to FORL and Stomatitis). I'll be keeping an eye on that, but it already appears to be closing up the same way the other did and seems to be much less painful.

Poor Baby, Willow!
I hope the tooth doesn't bother him, and heals quickly.

I'm sending some snowflakes to him, tonight:

and some feel better vines, for tomorrow.

(((hugs to you, Jordan, and loving pets for Willow)))
