Good morning except for the noise an hour before start time for the building that is going up on my street and Max still bouncing. I thought it would end yesterday but his night nadir was 277 and he's 329 this morning. He keeps giving me hope that he will be steadier but it's just a tease.

Extra prayers for Amy's dad, Marje's mom, Gracie, Zener,J.D., and all beans and kitties in need of support. Good luck to the kitties about to start or end their trials.

I woke up to construction noise, too...starting that early is just plain wrong!!

Ok, Max...wanna give some steadiness a try for MamaBean? If not, she'll luv ya anyway, but she'd be so happy with no more bounces!

Looks like Max and Eddie are still cruising around in outer space together. Hopefully, Wendy's ground command communications from yesterday reach them soon to turn the spaceship back around and head back to Earth. ;-)

This is what is so frustrating for me. Who would have expected Max to drop from 306 to 180? What am I missing? He will likely hit green and then bounce again from this one. confused_cat :roll: angry(2)_cat What makes this even more frustrating is that he didn't ask for food and was under the bed where he often goes. I don't want to test him so many times for nothing and he give me not a clue as to where his Bg is at otherwise.

I just realized that what I have been using for mc is 9% ( trader joes turkey and giblets) Would that be considered mc?

I've seen MC as 10-15%. But also that you can't count on exact numbers from one production lot to another. The 9% product could very well be MC sometimes. Are you giving Max that MC at +2?

ETA: It seems he likes to do the cliff dive from +2 to +3 so just wondering if you should load him up a bit then.

Hi Wendy. I think he dives when i don't suspect it. For example with a 308 at +1 I thought giving him mc might cause him to go up. Then I need to play catch up and the damage it already done if he dives. I'll try giving him the mc each day at +2 for a while and see if it works. I also want to find another mc food he likes because I noticed that the tj one I'm using has fish too high in the ingredient list. It is so annoying that they label food turkey and giblets and then the first ingredient is meat and the 3rd or 4th ocean fish. Thanks.

With an increase from 153 to 231 at +2 I wouldn't have given Max mc but I did now to see what happens. I really expected an active cycle tonight but maybe he is bouncing from the big dive today.

Hi Elise

When I look at Max's SS, I see that sometimes he comes down and then goes back up...and then drops. He was pink last night, came down to yellow, went back up to pink......and then broke. I know it's tough when they are that high to test again sooner rather than later or feed higher carb. Sometimes you catch the drop, sometimes you drive them back up :roll: :roll:

I hope your mom is doing well. Thank you for thinking of my mom and Gracie. They both seem to be feeling great :-D
 
Okay, so I fed him 9% at +2 and +3.5 and he went down to 170 and then up to 246. I guess only at +2 next time.
