Would you LOOK at that AMPS! A blue start for Luci:eek:must be my belated birthday present from her? I'm always grateful for something less than a yellow start since that does appear how Luci likes her day to look - those yellow bookends...bleh :banghead:

I had a wonderful day yesterday - DH bought a new Smart TV that I've been asking for - I like to watch TV so this is a replacement for the bedroom - yes, I know...shouldn't have a TV in the bedroom...but I'm old and that's what I enjoy - so why not! Had a nice dinner with the family last night and ate way too much cake! It was really tasty and everyone welcomed getting a big slice of cake and lemon curd (used as a sauce with the cake)...Thank you for all your BD wishes yesterday! :bighug: Here's a pic of the lovely flowers DH got and a tiny video of Luci. I hear that people test their cats feet - Luci will have no part of that business!

Beautiful flowers. Enjoy the tv. Don't have one in my room, I would be up all night watching. Ollie doesn't like her feet touched either, it's a struggle to clip her nails. I would love to do her feet specially since her ears are bothering her so right now, would love to give them a pokey break. Trying not to test much right now because of it.
 
what a nice day for a birthday -- and a nice start to today for you

Catcat will let me touch his back feet, but the claws come out and he swats me -- he likes his front feet stroked, is remarkably quiet for the first couple of nail clips, then lets me know he isn't going to continue to cooperate (growl hiss) -- haven't tried to get a test there, he goes outside so I don't want to open up a possibility of infection, though there's getting to be some scarring on his ears from all this testing there -- if he would only stop jerking just as I get the lancet within a millimeter

I’m with Judy, I need the sound to fall asleep. But as a youngin’ (hahaha) I use my smartphone to play something at bedtime. Once they invented miniature computers that can also make phone calls, TV became everywhere! :p

The flowers are lovely, happy birthday a day late!!!

Mmmm, I want cake too! I baked an apple cobbler yesterday, but the cake sounds better. Wanna trade slices? :D

Luci looks so fluffy and I want to squish and pet her so much. I wish we could all have a party with all the sugar cats..... but I don’t think it would go over well.
 
I used to have a TV on a bureau at the foot of the bed (another house, another year) and Amber the Abyssinian would curl her paws and watch the nature programs with us

sweet cat, she hung out behind the furniture store next to where I worked, I was able to corral her and bring her home, she had a wonderful short life, but had been hit by a car before all that, and finally she jumped around or fell in such a way that one of her broken but improperly healed ribs punctured her lungs, she bled out before we could get her to the vet

sad to say, I'll have an immense clowder of cats waiting for me beyond the rainbow bridge -- I miss each and every one of them

Oh Candy, sweet and sad story both. Sigh!
I think over a long enough human lifetime, each one of us will have many, many cats over that bridge. But we love them and make what time they get in this world the best we can. :)

Guess Miss Luci didn't like the feet to be tested. When Bubba had the really sore red ears back last year from the yeast infection, it was heck to test his feet.

Yes I wish we could all get together but we’d have to leave our crazy cats at home... Luci doesn’t get along with other animals at all... she just looks friendly but she’s a little spitfire!:rolleyes:

But that’s the point, it’s in part so we can pet each other’s cats. Haha.
Plus.... none of us would leave our sugarcats alone that long. Hahahaha! I can’t imagine.

Someday hopefully we will all have those things like on Star Trek that make food, replicators, and somehow between that and teleportation we should be able to send desserts electronically. That’s my sci-fi version of how we will trade desserts. Andddd I’m done. :cat:
