'Tigger's 8/12 Condo

Poor pregnant daughter got sick & can't take anything for completely plugged nose (neti pot helping some)& is miserable, so the whole house is hunkering down to ward off encroaching attack :evil:

Last night Tigger & Spankey were draped across the bed, being bean warmers, as is their usual custom since Tigger's DX & Spankey's foxtail debacle. Autistic Simon has been confined to solitary in the back room because it takes him all night to eat his food. DH was snoring loudly, in close competition with Tigger, :o ! Snoring in stereo :lol: :lol:

We had our usual +300 AMPS this morning. Our new goal is yellow AMPS or dare I say - BLUE - AMPS on a regular basis. Have no clue how or when we'll get there, tho'! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I just scrolled down Tigger's SS, so many pretty blues and greens lately! :-D :-D :-D

They say the AMPS is the last thing to come down, so hang in there! Youa are making great progress.

Yes, I feel we are making progress - am trying not to be too trigger happy with the insulin :lol: :lol: :lol:

You'll get yellow, blue and I'm willing to wager, green! It will happen; Tigger has only been receiving Lantus for about 7 weeks now~are your patience pants on? :lol: Oh, and the snoring-in-stereo-DH ohmygod_smile We have that here as well, believe me I can relate Suzanne--it's called "sleeping medicine" :lol: Thank you so much for thinking of Gobbles--tomorrow is the "big day" I get the results--needless to say, I'm a bit frazzled today....

Suzanne, I hope you DD can get relief soon. That has to be miserable. Nice blue today. Hope your amps comes down soon. It is the last to respond.

You were right, Kat! We're going green late! :o :shock: @-) So - we took a pre-emptive strike at +10 (2 tsp lc) so that hopefully we're not diving too low at PMPS time, which Tigger has a habit of doing...at night... nailbite_smile

Thanks, Doreen & Ann, I didn't realize the AMPS was the last to come down, so I'm glad I know - then I won't be fretting all this extra time!

Pink to blue/green slide is one of Neko's favorite moves too. :-D Paws crossed Tigger'll come up a tad before PMPS.

Thanks, Wendy - I know Neko does that, too - I should look more at his SS & see how you handle them!

I just had a feelin' we were going to be here - I'm fine if we don't go alot lower, but this will be a long 2 hour wait & see....... I d on't want to shoot a 50, & he's been cruisin' for a reduction.....nailbite_smile

Tzigger's dropping slightly from his +11 & doesn't tend to get much of a bump from his food. I usually feed 4% & 1.5%, so I'm thinking of feeding 4% & 8% at dinner to try & give him more of a bump so he doesn't go too low?

Am looking for ideas / confirmation, please?

Realized I was being CS about shooting, so went ahead & gave 1/2 (4%) + 1/2 (9%) because Tigger doesn't usu. go alot higher at +1 or +2, plus Tigger's full shot. Hopefully this will keep me from having to give alot of gravy at +3 or +4.

Am going to try & nap now for an hour in case I'm up later on........'Nite everyone! I-)

OK Lantus Land, we're at +2.75 / 72, down from +2/80. Should I pull the trigger & feed LC or hold?
I don't want to lose the momentum, but I don't want to see a 37 @ +4 like some of the others, either!

A couple tsp of LC would be good, to see if you can "tap on the brakes". Long way yet to go in this cycle.

Don't look at our SS to see how we handle this kind of cycle. As an acrocat who's had SRT, Neko has her own style of cycle that doesn't look like many others. I also can't use LC or MC the same way you do as she has a working pancreas and LC/MC can make her numbers dive instead of flatten. I like to think she's "special". :lol: :lol:

Thanks, Wendy! I fed 2 tsp LC (4.5%) @ 11:15 (reminder to me to test in 30 @ 11:45)

You know, I've read a number of times Neko's an Arcocat & not to copy dosing - why I forgot it this last time??! But - thanks for the reminder! And of course she's special!!!!!
