Good morning all,

First full week of classes starts today. I'm thinking I like the 3 day work week best!!! :-D

Shasta's appetite has been pretty good this morning. However, silly cat went to attack my pinky finger (it was sassing her) and instead of catching it on the side, she caught it from the front. Caught her on the gag reflex...luckily nothing came back up. ohmygod_smile

Question: Is it strange that I can see Shasta's body pulse (either heart beat pulse or breathing)? She does not seem to be labored in her breathing. I've noticed this for a while now (~ 9 months-ish) and sometimes it is more pronounced, other times...not.

Ok, one more poke before I'm out the door. Hope everyone has a good Monday.

Yay for a good appy! I can see our civie Tillie's breathing easily. It seems like a fast rate to me but it's always been like that and she's 12. At least you start with a short week. Have a good one!

Hi guys .. whew, glad nothing came up on the gag reflex! Nice drop already at +1.5, wonder where she'll take this .. twix always breathes hard .. I took her to the vet once and the vet couldn't find anything wrong with her .. Maybe some cats just breathe fast? Have a great day guys!

Thank goodness nothing came up! That +1 looks like a food spike, but it's not a large one, and that +1.5 looks good, too.

With regards to the pulse, I see my civvies' pulses at times, so I'm thinking it's perfectly normal.

Thanks ladies for putting my mind at ease! I tried taking a video of her, but the angle and lighting wasn't right. :roll:

I hate her in the 300s and upper 200s, but if that's what it takes for a small piece of mind while I'm at school, I'll take it for now! Off to fix a little dinner. Be back in a bit!

Well ladies and gentlemen,

The Olympics may be over, but Shasta is still practicing her dives! YAHOO!!!!! Little stink pot! She's been eating/grazing/nibbling...without me holding her bowl up to her face for her!!!! :lol: :lol:

She's getting quicker on her ninja skills, too! She was probably watching wrestling, fencing and taekwondo while I was at school last week and now is using her skills against me!!!! :lol: :lol:

She grazed a little more and then did a little dance in the LB. :-D Now, she's resting on the back of the couch behind me head! Love when she does this!

:mrgreen: Shasta, you are a very beautiful kitty. But then we are partial to black kitties. :-D We're watching the Olympics recaps on NBC. :roll: Our cable went out during the Closing Ceremony due to a lightning strike on a power pole about 100 miles from here. Jeesh!

haha...the recaps are probably better, anyways. Skip all the "nonsense"! However, anyway you look at it, London did an amazing job as host! Wish I could have been there...well, without all the traffic and congestion! :lol:

Black cats are the best...unless you're wearing white and then they're just helping us accessorize with a touch of black! :-D

:lol: :lol: Zener's fur is kind of thin so it's not too bad. Tillie, the civie, is an orange Manx and has that very thick Manx coat. Her hair is EVERYWHERE. :roll: :lol:
