Hi

not sure what your evening schedule is like, if you can, a couple of evening checks would be helpful to see where Fin goes.
Most kitties do tend to go lower in the evening cycles.
It's possible Fin may of gone lower after the +1 last nite.

If you can, over this weekend, ok?

Yes, I will definitely grab some evening readings this weekend. Also, what do you mean when you say 'mid-cycle'? I was thinking that meant +6 - +8, is that right? Thanks!

Great!

Mid cycle is between +5ish and +7ish
Early cycle from +1 to +4 and late cycle +8 to +11

Check the New to the Group stickie, it has a curve chart that can help you see what can go on during a cycle.
You can print it out as a guideline.

I'm not going to link it, cuz everytime I do, someone makes fun of me :lol: :lol: (I like the curve chart, a lot) :lol:

I probably use mid-cycle and spot checks interchangeably. For the purpose of dose, you do need to have a check that is close to nadir. Part of the idea is to try to get checks in at various times so you have some idea how Fin's cycle plays out. You don't have to check every hour. But, over the course of time, you do want to try to have as many of the gaps filled in on the SS. It will give you an idea if there are points where Fin is letting you know how his cycle is going.

Sounds as if Roni and Sienne have planned your weekend out for you... :mrgreen: But it will be so great to see how his numbers look during the cycles....hope you have a wonderful day!

does house-sitter test and shoot? ....She does shoot, but seems uncomfortable doing the BG. I showed her, she did it but whenever she has come to do his shot - she doesn't take BG. I have asked her to come by this weekend to review things.
Will they be there over-nite? .....She will be staying at my house to take care of all three animals.
How long will you be away?..... I leave on the 18th at 5 p.m. and I will return on the 25th at 10 p.m.

Do you think you could get her to change her mind and do at least preshots tests?
You could have her do another practice run while you're there with her this weekend.
Bake her some cookies or something - hey -treats work for humans too! :razz:

I am going to talk to her about testing BG and encourage her through her nervousness by showing her again. If it is a major issue for her, then I will look for a new petsitter after this trip. Hopefully, she will come around and it won't be an issue.
