Generally a Lantus curve will be flatter than a Vetsulin curve. You lowered the dose to be safe so your number range is a bit higher today.

For tomorrow AM: I'd try to get a +2 ( or perhaps +1 3/4? ). Lantus onsets two to three hours after the shot and the earlier indication you can get is better the whole cycle understanding is - at least IMHO. The +2 for Lantus users is like reading a weather forecast for the current cycle.

Good luck with Lantus. I hear many praise the switch from other insulin types.

I remember when switching Maury over to Lantus, I was waiting for a big drop like he had done on Prozinc so had to adjust for gentler drops . Think he's only given me one "big" drop on Lantus. I hope Angel is feeling better on it too! We're close to 2 months and recently I've seen the old Maury, craziness and all! I had hoped he was maturing and calming down but I think part if it was him starting not to feel good. I'll take my crazy happy boy back for a while
